Akiyo gave a nod, turning to a shotgun. Akahana catched him and pointed it at the clown's head, quickly pulling the trigger. But the clown was already gone before the bullet even met his head.
"Kids do love magic,right ?"
Akahana's eyes shot wide, turning around. The clown was holding large rings. "Watch this."
Akiyo had a bad feeling about the rings. Akahana stopped moving, watching the rings connect to each other like a chain, join into one circle, and disconnect to five separate rings.
Akiyo shook his head then looked up at Akahana, seeing her standing still and watching the rings. The clown grinned, and it caught Akiyo's attention.
"Hypnotism !"
"Snap out of it,Akahana !" He yelled out,his face flashing from the side of the shotgun. As expected, she didn't move. The clown took his party-hat-like blade and raised it up for attack, but Akiyo turned to his human form but kept his arm as a shotgun.
He blocked the blade with the shotgun, before turning his free hand to a pistol and started shooting. The clown jumped backwards and dodged, much to Akiyo's liking.
He turned to Akahana, then gritted his teeth. "Sorry for this." He grumbled, making a fist and giving her a solid punch.
And it brought her to reality. Akahana winced and jerked sidewards, almost losing balance. She blinked, the whole thing just starting to sink in.
"Tch. You just destroyed a great performance !"
The clown took a dart and tossed it at him. Akiyo turned around, just in time for the dart to graze his cheek and leave a cut. "Agh !" He cursed, holding his cheek. Then the next thing surprised him.
"Bull's eye !" The clown started laughing. Before both of them can even turn around, bombs started exploding from behind. Both of them got sent to a wall,Akiyo on his back and Akahana slamming before landing on the concrete floor.
"I thought fights like these were easy…"
Akiyo thought as he opened his eyes slightly. His sight was still spinning and blurry, but it was decreasing every second. Blood slowly trailed from the cut he had,and another from his head. Conffetti's in assorted colors fell around where the explosion came from, and he figured out that the clown made that dart game and hit the middle, signaling explosion by god knows what.
He slid downwards slowly, turning his head and looking at Akahana. She was completely knocked out, maybe because she's nearer to the area where the explosion came from. Blood was slowly leaking from the side of her head also, but other than that, she's fine.
The clown started walking to her, whistling a happy tune. Akiyo looked up and glared at the clown, forcing himself to stand on wobbly feet. "B-back off…" He grumbled. The clown stopped, turning to look at him.
Akiyo gritted his teeth then turned his arm to a shotgun, pointing it right between the clown's eyes. But the clown—instead of staying still—grinned. "Oh my. Kid's these days fall in love real quick." He smirked.
Akiyo's glare darkened. "I'm not in love. Now clowns like you scaring kids should die already." He grumbled. The clown laughed. "I can read minds. I can read what she thinks of you even at this moment." He said, holding a wide grin. Akiyo stopped for a while, and thought.
What does she really think of him ?
Akiyo went back to reality, then gritted his teeth. "I'm just her best friend. Nothing more, nothing less." He grumbled, then pulled the trigger. And finally, the clown didn't dodge and it's body swirled, turning to a red glowing soul.
He grabbed it,shoving it in his mouth and going over to Akahana. He stared at her for a while, before sighing and giving her a piggy-back ride. She was still unconscious, her head leaning against his right shoulder and silent breaths coming out from her nose.
As he walked,he remembered the clown's statement. He turned his head to look at an unconscious Akahana, before sighing.
"I can read minds. I can read what she thinks of you even at this moment."
The clown's words rang around his head. He sighed, feeling a slight hint of regret for not accepting the clown's offer.
"I'm also eager to know what you think of me.."
