Since that day—which was two weeks ago—everything changed. And one of those were Akiyo's feelings with Akahana. Love ? Nah ! Not that. He felt like he can trust her. Well, truthly speaking,he was always happy and cheerful before. The real opposite of the way he is now.
Why so ? Find it out.
"Hey,Akiyo." Akahana looked at him, making Akiyo look up from his book and glance at her. "What ?" He asked. Akahana scratched her head. "Uh… Can you help me with this math problem ?"
Akiyo sighed, then looked at the said problem in her book. He stared at it for a while, then smiled. "Oh. It's easy." He took the pencil from her, then started doing the solution and explaining it.
"Now. Try doing the next one yourself." He gave the pencil to her. Akahana smiled, taking it. "Okay then." She grabbed her notebook then started writing.
Akiyo watched her, silent. Not to mention, but he's a great student when it comes to math. And it's an advantage because Akahana's weak with it.
While watching,he noticed a small line going across the side of Akahana's neck. He blinked, turning his head and looking at the line.
His eyes shot wide. It was a scar. A long scar going across the right side—the part where he's sitting now. He slightly adjusted himself so he can see the back of her neck. But the scar didn't reach there. The scar's whole length was the exact length of her neck.
His eyebrows furrowed in a worried, yet confused way. "Akahana.. Can I ask something ?" He said. Akahana looked at him, smiling. "Yeah ?" She blinked.
"Why do you wear scarfs everyday ? Ya know… It's not winter yet you still wear them." Akiyo asked, expecting one answer. Akahana's eyes slightly went wide as the smile faded. She awkwardly fixed her hair and made sure it'll cover the sides of her neck, before looking away. "I-I just love to…" She mumbled, taking the pencil.
Akiyo's eyes narrowed. He grabbed her arm then pulled her close, moving her hair out of the way. "Where did this come from ?" He asked, looking at her. Akahana looked away, refusing to speak and staying quiet. Akiyo sighed. "Did someone try to kill you in your past ?" He asked. Akahana frowned, before sighing and shaking her head.
"Accident ?"
"No.."
"Then what ?"
Akahana turned her head, but refused make eye contact with his blue eyes. Akiyo silently waited, staring at her intently. Akahana sighed, before deciding to glance down on her lap instead.
Akiyo's eyes shot wide. "Don't tell me…" He mumbled. Akahana watched her fingers dwindle around, before stopping and balling up. Her head hung low as her hair covered her eyes.
"Yeah… I tried to kill myself before…"
