Unexpected Turn of Events

Previously:

We head back downstairs and I see everyone getting stuff out for the mini party we're gonna have. "Alright!" Nayeon says, causing everyone to look at her. "The first game of the night! Everyone's favorite. Truth or Drink!!" She exclaims and I look over at Jihyo. She was smiling while I was a nervous wreck.

Present:

Mina's POV

I was nervous and I guess Momo noticed because she looked at me. "You ok?" She questions and I just nod. "I'm fine. It's just a fun game." I tell her with a smile and she just nods. Everyone looks at us in confusion.

"This isn't fair at all. I want to learn Japanese now." Dahyun says as she pouts. Sana just giggles and pecks her lips. "I'll teach you if you want." Sana says with a smile and Dahyun nods frantically.

I giggle a little at their actions before Nayeon calls for us from the living room. "Guys come on!" She yells and everyone goes into the living room. "What is it bunny?" Jeongyeon says and Nayeon just glares at her.

All of the sudden, a knock on the door is heard and my head shoots up out of fear. "I'll get it." Nayeon says and gets up, running over to the door.

We waited for a few seconds before hearing the door open. "Mina!" Nayeon calls for me and Momo looks over at me. I shrug and walk to the door.

When I get there, I stop, widening my eyes. "Wha-What are yo-you doing h-here Kai?" I question him and Nayeon just looks at us. "I'll go back to them." Nayeon says with a small smile. I really didn't want her to leave but I couldn't say that.

After she's gone, Kai just smirks. "I heard you were going to be here from some friends. I didn't think it would be true though." He says with a chuckle.

"I-Its supposed to be fa-family weekend." I tell him, trying to avoid making him angry. "It was canceled. By the way, after your fun weekend, Dad wants a talk." He says before shutting the door.

Dad wants to have a talk? That's never good. "Yea cause you're an idiot and decided to not tell him where you are." Skylar said and I just ignore her.

Mina walked into the living room after calming down for a few minutes. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at her.

"Who was it?" Jihyo asked as everyone else seemed to want to know too. "It wa-was my brother." I tell them with a small smile, acting like nothing was wrong.

Momo choked on her drink and looked up at me. "Kai? What the hell did he want?" She questioned and I just smiled, shaking my head a little.

"He just wanted to make sure I was actually here. No need to worry." I tell her as I keep a smile on my face. It was half the truth and she didn't need to know the rest.

She looked at me with concern and Jihyo noticed it. I sit down on the couch next to Jihyo, feeling her hand on my thigh. I look over to see her looking at me.

"You ok?" She asks with her usual soft voice. The other girls say she's loud but I haven't heard it yet. I smile a little and nod.

I was lying though. I was not ok at all. I was scared of what was gonna happen when I got home Sunday. Jihyo noticed my tension and started to rub my thigh softly.

I close my eyes and lay my head on her shoulder, calming down a little. "It'll be okay." She whispers in my ear as she rubs my thigh gently.

I knew it wasn't but for some reason, her saying it, made me feel like it would be. But oh was I wrong.

"Alright. Let's get on with the game." Nayeon says with a smile. We all nod in agreement as Nayeon smiles. "I'll go first." Nayeon says and no one disagrees.

Nayeon asked Jeongyeon a question and then it went around about five times until it got to me again. Dahyun was asking me a question. She looked at me and grinned.

I was already tipsy because I drank every question that was thrown at me. I wasn't a heavy drinker so I get drunk easily.

"What was your first relationship like?" She questions with a grin and Momo was about to stop me. She even got up to cover my mouth but it was too late.

"It was good when he didn't hit me." I say as I chuckle bitterly, downing my shot even though I didn't need to. Everyone gasped in horror at my comment while Momo covered my mouth with her hand.
