Truth Be Told

                  

Mina's POV

I snap out of my daze and look at the person who yelled my name in confusion. "Huh?" I mumble while looking at Taeyeon. "You spaced out for a second. Are they back?" Tae asked softly and I panicked.

I didn't know what to say. I've been having these voices since she left. I just slightly nod a little as Jihyo scoots closer to me, putting my head on her shoulder.

"How long have they been back Mina?" Tae questioned and I hesitated to tell her. "You have to tell me the truth sweetheart." She told me softly, caressing my cheek.

"A year or two. Maybe more." I whisper and she looks at me with the same small smile she always has. "Have you been taking the medicine for it?" She asked and I shake my head, causing her to stop her actions.

"You need to take them Mina. Its the only way they'll go away." She said in a sad tone. I scoff slightly, making everyone look at me in shock. I rarely do it unless someone brings up memories.

"Last person that said that was her." I say to Taeyeon who smiles sadly. "And you don't want her to be mad do you? Take them Mina." Taeyeon says as I sigh.

"I stopped refilling those so I can't." I tell her as I hug my knees tighter. "I'll get you some soon but back to the topic at hand, can you please lift your shirt?" She asks as my breath hitches.

I let go of my knees and sit regularly, letting out a shaky breath. I slowly lift my shirt to show the bruises and scars on my stomach, burying my face in Jihyo's neck.

I feel a warm hand trace one of my scars, causing me to jump in surprise. "Sorry. And sorry for this in advance." I hear Taeyeon say quietly before pressing on the bruise.

I whimper loudly, causing Jihyo to hold me close, whispering small praises in my ear. "You're doing good." Jihyo whispers in my ear as Taeyeon gently pushes on the next bruise. I whimper slightly but not as loud as the other one.

"How often does it happen?" Tae asks and I think about it. "Maybe once or twice every day. I was late a couple of days ago so this happened." I mumble against Jihyo's neck, gripping her shirt tightly.

I hear Tae sigh before Jihyo decided to move slightly, causing me to whine loudly. Jihyo chuckled softly before caressing my cheek, making me calm down a little.

"I have to go but I advise you to go to a doctor to check your stomach out. There could be something wrong that I couldn't have seen or felt." Tae said before getting up.

I look from Jihyo's neck and pout slightly. She notices my pout and smiles slightly, walking towards me before leaning forward. "Now that I know you're here, I will come over more often. How does that sound?" She questions and I nod frantically.

She laughs a little before leaving. "Have you decided on my offer?" Jihyo asked when I looked back at her. I nod a little and she smiles. "What did you decide?' She questioned and I bit my lip.

"I will." I whisper and her smile widens. "I'm happy to hear that." She says before kissing my cheek. "What exactly did she decide?" Momo asked in a stern voice.

I look at her in amusement as Jihyo just looked at her with a grin. "I asked her if she wanted to stay here. I didn't want to let her live with her parents after I heard what they did." Jihyo explains and Momo's face softens.

"I approve." Momo says with a firm nod before Nayeon starts to squeal again. I jump and she looks at me. "I'm sorry, but you're are just so cute." She says before getting up and walking over to me.

She picks me up and I wrap my legs around her waist out of instinct, nuzzling my face in her neck. "That's it. I'm stealing her Jihyo." Nayeon says and holds me tightly.

"I dare you." Jihyo says in a serious voice, causing me to giggle. "She's too cute for this world." Nayeon says, trying her best not to squeal. She starts to stroke my hair as I lay my head on her shoulder.

"I agree with you now give her back." Jihyo says as I grip Nayeon's shirt, hearing her let out a huff. "Fine, but you have to let me do this every once in a while." She says as she sets me back on the couch.

I immediately cling back to Jihyo and she sets me on her lap. "Deal." She says with a smile. I felt like I was being babied but I wasn't complaining at all. I've never had affection or attention like this and I didn't want it to go away.

I snuggled into her warmth as she started to rub my back. "Well, I have to go with these two." Jeong says and I look back to see her dragging Momo and Nayeon out of the house.

"I have to go as well. Dahyun wanted me to pick her up. See you guys later." Sana said as she walked up to us, kissing my forehead and grinning as she walked out.

"That little snake." Jihyo mutters and I giggle a little, pulling back to look at her. I rub my left eye and she smiles a little.

"Are you tired babygirl?" She questions and I blush a little at the pet name. I still couldn't get over it every time she calls me.

"No, I'm not." I mumble while shaking my head. I only rub my left eye out of habit. I tried to stop the habit, but I would end up doing it unconsciously even if I don't want to."

"Well, it looks like its just me and you here now." She says and I look around to notice that everyone else was indeed gone. I look back at her to see a small smirk forming on her lips.
