Haunting Memories

Mina's POV

Previously:

Tiffany and Taeyeon were already chasing after Momo. I grip Jihyo's shirt tightly as I whimper loudly, biting Jihyo's neck.

"Babygirl, not so hard." She whispers in my ear, rubbing behind it softly. I melt as she touches my weak spot, the tension in my body physically going away.

"It'll be okay."

Present:

"A-Are you sure they'll b-be ok?" I asked as I look at Jihyo with worried eyes, pouting a little as I do so.

Jihyo smiles at me before leaning forward, kissing my lips softly. I close my eyes and kiss her back, gripping her shirt tightly.

She brings her hand up slowly and holds mine that was gripping her shirt. "They'll be fine, babygirl." She whispers as she pulls away.

I whine when she pulls away and she chuckles a little. She caresses my cheek softly and I whimper before leaning into her touch.

I was still leaned into her touch when my phone rang. I grab my phone and look at the name. I bite my lip before answering the phone.

"H-Hello?" I stutter as I answer the call, playing with Jihyo's hand. She smiles and lets me while looking at me.

"I'm outside. Dad wanted me to pick you up." Kai says through the phone as my breath hitches. "I-I don't want to g-go." I tell him, trying to sound confident.

"You will go, Mina!" Kai yells through the phone and I flinch. Jihyo looks at me with worry as I try to smile at her.

"I left and I'm not going back." I tell him while managing not to stutter, gripping Jihyo's hand unconsciously.

"Mina, I will not tell you twice." He growls and I just hang up the phone before he can say anything.

"Who was that?" She asks as I try to calm down from the phone call. "M-My brother." I say quietly and she immediately pulls me into her arms.

I whimper loudly and bury my face in her neck. I feel Jihyo start to run her fingers through my hair and start to calm down.

"He can't get in. I'll call security." She says softly before grabbing her phone. I space out as she talks to security, gripping her shirt tightly.

"They're getting him out as we speak." Jihyo says as she grabs my hand again, rubbing the back of my hand with her thumb.

I visually relax and let my head drop onto her shoulder. "There you go, babygirl." She whispers in my ear as I snuggle into her warmth.

"I swear to god you're lucky you got to me in time or I would've murdered him." I hear Momo yell as the front door closes.

"Hun, you know you would've been in trouble if you went through with it." Taeyeon says as they walk into the living room.

"Well, it was his f-" Momo starts before getting cut off by Tiffany. "Is she asleep?" Tiffany asks quietly as Jihyo rubs my back.

"No, she's just relaxing. Someone tried to pay a visit, but I got security to get him out." Jihyo explained as I keep my eyes closed, whimpering a little.

"Shhh, it's ok. No one can get you." Jihyo whispers in my ear, humming a lullaby in my ear. I feel the couch dip next to us and go to move my head.

Jihyo lays my head down again and strokes my hair. "It's just Momo." She whispers as I grip her shirt.

Momo starts to rub my back, causing me to whimper and lean my head towards her. "Hey." She says softly as I continue to whimper.

Jihyo picks me up and sets me on Momo's lap. I immediately buried my face in Momo's neck, snuggling into her warmth.

She kisses my cheek softly before sighing. "I'm sorry I left like that. I just get so mad because he's done all these things and I left while knowing this." She says quietly.

"I should've taken you with me." She mumbles while rubbing my back, humming softly.

~Flashback~

I look out the window to see Momo walking up to the house. A smile makes it's way to my face as I get up and run downstairs.

"Momo!" I say happily as I jump up, wrapping my arms around her neck and my legs around her waist, snuggling into her warmth.

"Hey, my little penguin." Momo says with a smile, rubbing my back. She didn't seem happy and the smile looked fake.

I frown slightly and look at her. "What's wrong?" I ask as she walks over to the living room and sets me on the couch.

"Look, Mina. I'm really sorry I have to do this." She starts as she crouches down, holding my knees.

"What do you mean?" I ask as I furrow my eyebrows, chewing my bottom lip. She looks up at me with a sad smile.

I was starting to get really worried. She's never sat me down like this. I was just lucky it was only us two in the house right now.

"I want to tell you this now so you get to see me before I leave." She starts to explain while I look at her with panic.

"I know I said we'd both be out of here when I could get everything, but I got accepted into the college I wanted." She continues.

"I have to live in the dorms and you can't come with me. You have to stay here when I leave." She says sadly.

"W-When do you leave?" I ask quietly, trying not to break in front of her. If I did, she wouldn't leave and she deserves to be able to do that.

"That's the thing." She says sadly, making me snap out of my thoughts and look at her with slight worry.

"I leave today." She says quietly and I finally just let the tears fall. I didn't expect her to be leaving now, but I guess that's just how it works in my life.

Everyone just leaves

Sorry I had exams and I am also now needed to go to a therapist every week or so.

I take medication now that makes me tired so I haven't had time to write.

Hope this long chapter makes up for it
