Story Time

Mina's POV

I groaned slightly as I stirred awake. My head was killing me and my whole body ached. I lifted my shirt to see the bruises on my stomach had gotten darker.

I sighed a little and let my shirt drop back down. It was normal to wake up sore so I just simply got up, stopping shortly from the dizziness.

I walk over to the mirror and see that the bruise under my left eye was showing. I was about to cover it up when I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist.

I tense slightly before calming down when I realize it was just Jihyo. "Hey." She whispers in my ear as I lean back into her. "How are you?" She questions as I feel her slip her hand in my shirt.

"I'm ok." I mumble as I feel her warm and soft hands on my icy cold stomach. I was always cold but I never knew why. I forgot there was a mirror in front of me until I heard a gasp.

"Mina is that a black eye?!" She questions in shock. I quickly cover my eye as I heard shuffling feet. Someone barged into the room, causing me and Jihyo to turn around.

All of the girls were there and were looking at us with a worried expression. "What happened?" Nayeon asked while I was still covering my eye.

"I want to ask the same question." Jihyo said as she turned to look at me. "I need you to let me see it again." She whispers and wraps her hand around mine.

I allow her to slowly remove my hand, looking at her so the others couldn't see the bruise. "Now you need to show the others." She said to where they could hear. I whimper and hide my face in her neck.

"What's wrong with Mina?" Momo asked with concern. "Show them" Jihyo whispered in my ear and I just let out a shaky breath. I didn't want to but I wouldn't hear the end of it if I didn't.

I slowly look up at them and everyone gasps except Momo. She seemed to be clenching her fists. "You told me it got worse but you never told me how much." She said and everyone looked at us.

"Well, it isn't just insults being thrown anymore. Its full blown abuse I guess but I deserve it so there's no need to be so sad." I say to Momo as I heard a gasp. Fuck. I forgot Sana knew Japanese.

"Mina don't think that." Sana says as she looked at me with pity. "What do you mean?" Jeongyeon questioned as she looked at Sana with confusion.

She was about to say something when Momo covered her mouth. "Don't you dare Sana." Momo whispered in her ear but it was quiet enough for everyone to hear it.

"I can't do that. I'm pretty sure everyone needs to hear what I did, Mina." Sana said as she looked directly at me. I look down and rub the back of my neck.

I felt Jihyo's hand under my chin as she made me look at her. "You need to tell us if Sana thinks its that bad." Jihyo says as she caresses my cheek. I let out another shaky breath while leaning into her touch.

"Trust me, Sana doesn't make things a big deal often." Tzuyu pipes in and Sana tries to hit her but Tzuyu just dodged it with ease making Sana pout.

Sigh a little and sit on the bed. Jihyo walks over and sits next to me, pulling me on her lap. I snuggle into her warmth, burying my face in her neck.

"You tell them Momo." I mumble against Jihyo's neck. "Ok." She says before clearing her throat. She didn't say anything before starting.

"Mina's parents aren't really...her parents. Well, at least her dad isn't. Her dad died from certain reasons that you'll have to ask Mina personally.." Momo starts to explain as I grip Jihyo's shirt tightly.

Jihyo notices and starts to run her fingers through my hair, causing me to calm down a little. "Anyways, her mother got together with some idiotic alcoholic." Momo continued as I bit my bottom lip.

"She uh- He gets a little rough when she does something she doesn't like. Before I left, it was just insults from time to time." Momo explained as I let out a shaky breath.

"Why did you leave?" Chaeyoung questioned, a hint of confusion in her voice. "I didn't want to, but I got into this college and couldn't miss the opportunity." Momo explains in a shaky voice.

"I made sure it was ok with Mina. I even asked if she wanted to come with me, but she said it was fine. I made sure to check up on her from time to time but eventually, that stopped." She finishes as everyone just sits there.

I slowly look at them while rubbing my eyes with a slight pout. I was still tired and I act like a toddler when I'm sleepy. Most of them 'awed' and I blushed.

I look over to Jihyo to see her smiling at me. She leans forward to my ear. "Is Mina still tired?" She whispers in a soft voice, causing me to blush and nod a little.

"Yah! Stop with the lovey-dovey crap." Dahyun said and huffed. "Excuse me but I believe you should take that into consideration." Tzuyu deadpans, causing everyone to laugh except me since I was confused.

"Her and Sana are dating." Jihyo explains to me and I nod, my mouth forming an 'O' shape. "Let's get you back to bed sleepy head." She tells me and I blush again.

She picks me up to where my legs are around her waist and my arms are around her neck. I cling to her like a koala while burying my face back in her neck.

We get to the bed after she shoos everyone away, making it to where it was only us two. She lays next to me and I immediately cling to her.

She smiles and holds me close. "Mina I have a question." She says and I just hum in response, gesturing her to continue. "Do you want to stay with me maybe?" She asks softly and I freeze.

"You don't have to, but I think it would be a better environment. My parents don't stay here often because of work so I'm pretty sure they won't mind." She explained further and I just let out a shaky breath.

"B-But my p-parents..." I mumble and she just strokes my hair. "Will not be able to go near you at all." She states and I look up at her, tears brimming my eyes.

"I know a lot of people in high places that will do anything for me because of my parents. I will make sure your parents can't touch you or keep in contact with you." She explains as a tear slides down my face.

She smiles at me and wipes my tears with her thumb. "I'll protect you. And make sure you're safe at all times."
