Parents

 A little trigger warning for this chapter near the end. It may not be much but you'll hate Mina's 'parents' a lot more after this :,)

Mina's POV

I waddle down the stairs while rubbing my left eye. I didn't see anything until I almost tripped. I straighten myself up the best I can before waddling to the living room.

"There you are, Mina. I was wondering what took you so long." Jihyo says before wrapping her arms around me from behind, back-hugging me. I lean into her and smile a little.

"Jihyo!" The same feminine voice yelled, and I jumped. Jihyo kissed the side of my neck and smiled a little. "My mother is quite loud. I'm sorry about that." She whispers in my ear before releasing our hug.

She grabs my hand and pulls me to the kitchen. I was genuinely nervous of course, but they aren't like my parents so it was always better. I look up to see the back of a male and female.

"Mom I was right outside the kitchen." Jihyo said with a chuckle. "Oh, you were? Sorry I di- Who is this young lady?" Her mom turned and stopped her sentence midway when she saw me.

I got a little more nervous and hid behind Jihyo out of reflex. "This is Mina. She's a shy one." Jihyo said as she rubbed her thumb on the back of my hand that she was holding.

"Oh, is she know? Hello Mina, my name is Hyun-ah." I hear Jihyo's mother say as I look up from the back of Jihyo's shoulder. (Don't judge mE-)

I shake her hand, that she held out, a little and bow before hiding behind Jihyo's back again. I hear Jihyo's mother chuckle a little as I grip the back of Jihyo's shirt tightly.

Jihyo brings one of her hands to my arm and rubs it softly. She turned and leaned towards my ear. "Don't be nervous. My parents are very friendly." She whispered in my ear before looking back at her parents.

"Yea, you should listen but once they find out your situation, they'll probably silently judge you." The same voice from before whispers and I close my eyes, trying to ignore her.

I feel a hand on my shoulder and snap my head in that direction, wincing at the pain from turning my head too quick. I see the female from before and immediately look away.

"Again with the whole ignorance thing. That's gonna come back around and ruin you." She tsked before disappearing. I let out a shaky breath and back-hug Jihyo, laying my head on her shoulder.

I feel her rub the back off my hand again and calm down a little. "Alright you two, no getting lovey-dovey around me." A deep male voice speaks and I jump from the sudden noise.

Jihyo laughs as I quickly let go of the hug, pouting from the loss of warmth. I look up to see Jihyo hugging a man who was taller than her.

"Hello Mina, I'm Jihyo's father, Hyo-jong." He said with a smile before holding his hand out. I quickly shake his hand and bow before standing up properly again.

Jihyo and her parents start talking again so I slip out of the kitchen and walk up the stairs to Jihyo's room. I let out a breath as I close the door behind me, walking to my stuff and searching through my bag.

I didn't hear the door open, so when I feel someone's hand on my shoulder, I jump and lose my balance to where I land on my knee, whimpering afterward.

"Mina, are you ok?" Jihyo asks softly while wrapping her arms around me. I lean my head on her chest and nod a little, gripping her shirt.

I feel her run her hand through my hair and calm down, leaning into her touch. "I told my parents about you moving in." She whispered in my ear and I look up at her.

"They said they're fine with it, especially since I won't be that lonely all the time." She explained and I blink. Wait? They allowed it?

Jihyo must've seen the confusion on my face as she chuckled. "I told you they were friendly people Mina." She says with a smile.

I nod a little before laying my head back on her chest, gripping her shirt tightly. "You sure you're ok?" She asks again and I nod. "I-I'm sure." I whisper and she nods.

"That's good then." She says before picking me up and setting me on the bed softly. She grabbed my bag and set it next to me.

"I have to go back down and ask my parents something. I'll be back." She whispers before kissing my forehead. I close my eyes as I feel her lips on my forehead.

I open them again when I hear the door shut, sighing a little. I look through my bag again before grabbing my phone from it.

I had 20 missed calls and 30 messages from my parents and a couple from my brother. I would usually be home Sunday morning but things happened and now I'm here.

I hold my breath before calling my mother. Should I really even call her my mother? She isn't even that. There's no point. Mothers are supposed to care and that's what Taeyeon and Tiffany are now.

"Myoui Mina you little brat!" I immediately hear her nagging voice screaming at me as soon as she picks up. "Y-Yes mother?" I stutter out as she scoffs.

"You aren't here, that's what! Get here now! Your father skipped work because of you!" I shiver at her last sentence as she hangs up. He skipped work? That's how I know its bad.

I quickly grab my bag and slip my shoes on before stopping in my tracks. Do I really want to go? Jihyo said she knew people who could make sure my parents stayed away.

"You do want to go and you will go." A stern voice says and I look up to see the female. "No questions asked." She says, her tone hinting that what she says is final.

I gulp before nodding hesitantly. I walk down the rest of the way down and see Jihyo talking with her parents. She looks back and tilts her head before walking to me.

"Where are you going, hun?" She asks me and I just smile a little. "I have to get my stuff from the house." I say in a hushed tone and she looks at me worriedly.

"Are you sure you want to go?" She asks and I nod, faking a smile. "Yea, I'll be fine." I reassure her and she nods.

I walk out of the house to see Kai. He smirks before nodding his head towards the passenger side of his car. I quickly get in and let out a shaky breath. I'm the only one who knows Kai's secret and it will stay that way.

We arrived home and I slowly got out of the car. I gulped before walking into the house after Kai. I walked into the living room and saw my father sitting on the couch.

"You know where to go." He grumbled before getting up and walking to his room. I close my eyes before opening them again and walking into the room with him.

I close the door behind me and lean against it, hearing a clanking noise, causing me to open my eyes. "You tried to run a lot last time. Plus, this will make things much more entertaining." He says with a small grin.

I watch as he set the handcuffs on the bed before looking at me, more like glaring. He started to walk towards me as he unbuckled his belt. Let the pain begin.
