As the team made it back home, everyone was ambushed by their family asking if they were okay. Well, everyone except for El. She looked around the group, watching as the parents hugged their kids. As sigh escapes from her lips as she turns arounds and decides to head back to her apartment. She quickly begins to play her music, putting in both earbuds so she couldn't hear anything else but her music. Peter furrowed his eyebrows, watching as El walked away from the group. May had just finished hugging him, noticing him staring at El.

"What's wrong with her?" Peter asks, oblivious to what's wrong with El. A small sigh escapes from her as she turns her head to watch El leave as well.

"Her family to care for her is in the city, she's probably missing Archie." She explains, slightly pouting her lips. Peter softly bit his bottom lip, feeling bad for El. May wraps an arm around Peter's waist, pulling him to the car. "Come on let's go home."

******

Peter waited till May had fallen asleep, so he could sneak out and go check on El. He felt bad for not making sure that she was okay once they got back to Queens. He wanted to ask her why she had walked away from the group when he had saved Liz. After a few minutes, he found himself lost in his thoughts. It wasn't long until he arrived at El's apartment. A sigh escapes from his lips as he head to the side on the building to climb up the stairs and towards her window. He peeked his head through, to see her walking around her room with her phone to her ear.

"Tony?" He whispered to himself. His eyes scanned her body to see that she was wearing a pair of pajama shorts along with a sweatshirt. But it just wasn't a normal sweatshirt, it was his sweatshirt. The same one he had given her the day Archie died.

"When can I come home?" El asked, slightly turning around. Peter quickly backed away from the window, hiding behind the wall so she couldn't see him. A loud thump echoed through the room, causing Peter to peek his through the window. Her phone was now sitting on her dresser, still on the phone with speaker.

"Just a couple more weeks Ellie." Tony explains, sounding a bit frustrated. "Are you not liking it there? What about Peter?"

A loud groan escapes from El, causing Peter to furrow his eyebrows. Was that her reaction every-time she heard his name?

"We're okay." She shrugs her shoulders, running a hand through her hair. "We're friends again."

"Not dating?"

"No." She replies. "He's obsessed with this senior girl."

Peter furrows his eyebrows together, glaring at El. He was curious on why she hadn't told him about Elijah.

"Hmm. Okay." Tony states. "I got to go Ellie, I'm glad your safe. I'll make sure to thank Peter. I love you."

El's breath hitched, scared to say it back. "Ton-"

"El, I know you feel it. Why can't you just admit it?"

El shrugged, not knowing it. "I don't know. Look I've gotta get to bed. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Tell Pepper I say Hi."

A sigh comes from the phone. "I will. Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

Right after she spoke, Tong hung up. Peter slightly poured his lips, feeling bad for El. He watched as she quickly turned, walking out of her room. This was the perfect time for him to sneak in. He quickly opened the window, stepping through it. His shoe accidentally got caught onto the windowsill making him trip and fall onto the floor. The loud thump echoed through the room, making Peter's eyes widen. He looked up, noticing El standing in the door way in a fighting stance.

"What are you doing here?" She whispered exclaimed, stepping out of her stance. Peter furrowed his eyebrows together, noticing a pair of glasses on her face. "Peter!"

"You wear glasses?" He asks, standing up. El crossed her arms over her chest, nodding her head. "Since when? Why are you wearing my sweatshirt?"

"Since I was like five." She replied. "It's actually my sweatshirt. What are you doing here?"

"No it's my sweatshirt." Peter complained, crossing his arms over his chest.

A groan escapes for El as she reaches for the zipper. Peter's eyes widened as El zipped it down and quickly taking it off. She throws it at Peter's chest, leaving her in her sports bra.

"There, now leave." She instructs, crossing her arms over her chest and making her way towards her bed. A sigh escapes from Peter as he follows her, taking a seat next to her. He hands it back to her, trying not to stare at her. The corner of El's tulips turned up, forming a small grin on her face as she gladly accepts it, quickly putting it back on.

"Okay now what do you want?" She asks, back to being fully clothed.

Peter turns his head, making eye contact with her. "I w-was just checking up on you." He explains, shrugging his shoulders. "Since you were like crying on the elevator."

"Yeah because I was near death." She explains, furrowing her eyebrows together. "What other reaction would I have?"

He instantly shrugs, not knowing the answer. El rolled her eyes, chuckling while she did. The two remained silent for a while until El's phone buzzed, earning both of theirs attention. El furrowed her eyebrows together, grabbing her phone. Once she saw who it was she rolled her eyes out of instinct. Peter noticed this, furrowing his eyebrows together. He watched as she rapidly typed on her phone and placing it down right after.

"W-Who was it?" He quietly asked, slightly stuttering as he did.

El shrugged her shoulders. "Elijah." She answers, obviously not caring about it. Peter opened his mouth into an 'o' shape way, before slightly nodding his head. He didn't know why, but for some odd reason he felt... jealous?

"Wha-What did he say?" He asked again, wanting to know more about the relationship Elijah and El had.

El furrowed her eyebrows together, looking down at the ground. She was beginning to grow curious on why Peter was asking so many questions. "He asked me out." She shrugged, answering his question truthfully.

Peter's eyes widened. He quickly looked the other way so El wouldn't notice the shocked expression in his face. "U-Um." He stuttered. "Wh-What did y-you say?"

"No."

The word rang through Peter's ear. He couldn't believe that El had actually turned down Elijah. No girl had ever turned down Elijah, so why would El?

"R-Really?"

El smirked, nodding her head. "Yeah, I've only met him once." She answered truthfully. "Why do you care?"

Peter froze, he didn't actually know why he did care, but he just did. "I-I don't know." He shrugged. The two sat in awkward silence again. He couldn't help but look over at El, noticing that she had been looking at him as well. The two stared each other in the eyes, not saying a word. It wasn't long till Peter noticed how late it was, realizing that he had been here for a while. "I gotta go. I-I'll see you tomorrow."

El quickly nodded her head, looking away from Peter and quickly stood up. "Y-Yeah, see you tomorrow." She stuttered, causing her to furrow her eyebrows. She never stuttered for anyone. Peter nodded his head, walking towards the window and leaving the girl to herself.

A sigh escapes from El once she knew Peter was gone. She flopped back onto her bed, looking up at a ceiling. She covered her eyes with the palm of her hands once she knew what was happening.

"Shit." She mumbled.
