Peter followed behind El and Elijah as they drove off. He had pulled up to a small restaurant which finally gave Peter a break.

He hid on top of the roof of the restaurant, watching as Elijah ran over to the other side of the car, opening the door for El.

"You didn't have to do that." El chuckled, slightly smiling as she brushed off her dress.

Elijah shrugged his shoulders, gently wrap his arm around El's waist.

The hair on Peter's arm rose a bit, making him furrow his eyebrows at his own arm. He gently rubbed his arm trying to get rid of the chills.

"Yeah I know, but I wanted to." Elijah shrugs, making Peter rolls his eyes.

"Whatever." He scoffed, watching as Elijah led El into the restaurant.

Once they were out of sight and in the restaurant, Peter stood up, walking over towards the edge of the building. He shot a web at the edge so he could slowly slide down and peek through the window. That's when he saw El sitting across from Elijah, smiling about whatever he was telling her.

Peter found himself longingly staring at her as she continued to laugh and smile. He could tell that she wasn't faking any of it by the way her bottom dimples would show.

His eyes widened once he noticed El turning her head towards the window. A loud gasp escaped from him as he went crawl back up. But instead of crawling back up, the web had broke, causing him to fall to the concrete.

El furrowed her eyebrows. She thought she had just seen Peter in his old suit but when she went to see, he wasn't there. Maybe she'a just seeing things. She lightly shook her head and went back to talking with Elijah.

A painful groan escaped from Peter as he laid on the concrete. He slowly sat up, resting his head against the palm of his hand.

"This is stupid." He mumbled to himself, lightly shaking his head. "Why am I doing this?"

He grabbed onto the wall, pulling himself up so he was fully standing up. He couldn't help but look into the window to look at El once more.

There was something about her that made him want to stay and keep an eye on her. His eyes darted over to Elijah and noticed his hand slowly creep over to hers. He furrowed his eyebrows, watching as Elijah grabbed her hand and gently holding it.

El furrowed her eyebrows as well, looking down at their hands. Just as she was about to pull away, she lightly shook her head, letting it happen.

Peter glared at the girl, beginning to grow irritated. He shook his head, no longer staring at the girl. He shot a web to the top of the building to pull himself back up.

He sat on the edge, with his feet dangling off as he stared up into the night sky.

"Did I make a mistake?" He asked the stars, slowly getting lost in them. "Should I have never broken up with El?"

******

About an hour had gone by until Elijah and El had finally walked out of the restaurant.

Peter sat up, peeking his head over the edge to get a better look. He watched as Elijah opened the car door for El allowing her in as he made his way to the other side.

Once he knew El couldn't see him he stood fully up, squinting his eyes so he could see into the car.

"Thanks again Elijah." El spoke, smiling down at her dress. "I had f-"

She was immediately cut off by Elijah smashing his lips upon hers. Her eyes widened as her back touched the car door and immediately began to push him off.

"Who do you think you are?" She asked, pushing him away with all her might.

"Oh come on." Elijah spoke in a husky voice, leaning closer into El. "You're Tony Stark's daughter aren't you?"

El furrowed her eyebrows giving Elijah one last push. "What's that supposed to mean?" She asked, feeling her blood boil with anger.

"You know." Elijah shrugs, finally leaning back into El. "He was a playboy, slept around a lot." He rested his hand upon her thigh.

She quickly jumped, glaring at the older boy. "So you think I do?"

Without hesitation, Elijah nodded his leaning back in for another kiss. But before he could, El placed her hand upon his quickly shocking him.

A shriek escaped from his lips as he jumped back away from El. She quickly took this time and opened the car door exiting from it. She slammed the door shut walking away from the car.

"I thought you'd be easy!" Elijah exclaimed from his car making El angrier than she already was.

"Well you were wrong bitch!" She yelled back, her eyes turning pitch black. "You better start driving before I-"

She was cut off by Peter swooping in and taking her away from the scene.

A loud shriek escaped from the girl as she quickly clutched onto the boy, not knowing who it just was yet. She looked up, noticing the old suit.

"Peter?!" She exclaimed, her hair blowing into her face. Peter looked down, grimacing as he realized that El would figure out that he was following her. He took her to the roof of her apartment building, removing her arm from her waist as he put her back on her feet.

El fixed her hair, taking a few steps away from Peter. "Pete, how'd you know I was there?" She asked calmly, not wanting to grow even more angrier than she already was.

Peter froze in his spot, taking off his mask. His light brown curls flopped on his forehead, making El's heart melt.

"Before I tell you, just know I just saved you." He started out, causing El to cross her arms over her chest. "You're eyes turned pitch black again, and they actually still are."

El furrowed her eyebrows shaking her head, making her eyes go back to their normal color.

"Well now they're not."

"Peter, explain." She spoke through gritted teeth.

Peter gulped nodding his head. "O-Okay." He stuttered. "I followed you and Elijah then saw the whole situation and was about to step in until I saw you shock him and then decided to stay away. But then when you got out of the car I saw how black your eyes got and then decided to step in and take you away before you killed him." He rushed out, out of breath once he finished.

El furrowed her eyebrows together, glaring at Peter. "You followed me?" She asked in shock. Normally she would be mad at this type of situation, but she actually felt kind of happy.

Is there still a chance Peter likes me?

She thought to herself, making the ends of her lips twitch up slightly.

"Are you mad?" Peter asks, not being able to read her facial expression.

El lightly shook her head, being completely honest. "Nope. You were just looking after me right? I appreciate it."

Peter immediately nods his head, shocked by the fact that El understood why he was doing it. "Y-Yeah, exactly."

El couldn't help but feel her stomach explode with butterflies as Peter smiles at her. There was no point in denying the strong feelings that El had for Peter.

"Walk me down to my window?" El asks, smiling a bit as she points her thumb behind her, signaling towards the stairs.

Peter nods his head, staring at the girl in a lovingly way. Even if he didn't know it, there was still a part of him that still liked the girl. The same way he did when they became seat partners in english.

"Of course."
