Peter sat in his suit, trying his hardest to figure out how to tie a tie. He had been watching a video on how to do it with May. When he came home and told her about the date, she immediately began to help him get ready.

"So is El excited?" May asked, watching as Peter fidgeted with the tie.

Peter furrowed his eyebrows, looking up at his aunt with a confused expression. "Why would she?" He asked, looking back down at the video.

"Isn't she the one you asked?"

A gasp was caught in the back of Peter's throat, making him choke on air. He bent down, dangerously coughing.

"I didn't ask her." He answered in between coughs.

Once he was back to normal, he continued watching the video, finally getting it the fifth try.

May furrowed her eyebrows at her nephew. "Why not?" She asked, watching as Peter stood up to show the tie.

"Because I like Liz." Peter shrugged, letting May straighten out his tie.

"I prefer El." May shrugs, making Peter chuckle.

"You don't even know Liz-"

"I don't need to, El will always be my favorite." May stayed truthfully, she did indeed love El almost as much as she loved Peter. Once the tie was straighten, May patted his shoulders, smiling up at him. "Now let's practice dancing."

Peter stood in front of Liz's door, knocking on it. There was no doubt, telling how excited he was about this. He was a sophomore who scored a date with a senior.

Even though he was excited, there was still a part of him who felt bad for acting the way he did towards El. But what could he do, he liked Liz, right?

Before he could think about it even more, the front door swung open. Peter looked up with a small smile on his face and noticed an older man standing in the doorway.

Peter's smile dropped once he noticed the familiar face. His breathing grew heavy as he stared at the older man, wishing that he wasn't here.

The older man smiled at Peter, slightly nodding his head. "You must be Peter?" He spoke, his voice groggy from the sounds of it.

A gulp came from Peter as he nodded his head. "Y-Yeah." He answered, still not smiling. It was at this moment he wished El was standing by his side, with the same expression on her face as they both realized who this man was.

"I'm Liz's dad." He introduced himself, stretching out his arm so Peter could shake it. "Put'er there."

Hesitantly, Peter shook the man's hand with a tight grip. The older man smiled at Peter, pulling him into the house.

"Come on in'er."

He let got of Peter's hand, allowing him to hold the corsage that he has brought for Liz.

Liz's dad walked past Peter and into the kitchen. Peter watched hesitantly, scared of what could happen without his suit. He slowly took a few steps, recognizing the area from the party.

He still slowly walked, carefully watching the man as he washed a few dishes in the sink.

"Hey Peter!" A voice greeted, making Peter slightly jump. He quickly turned around and noticed and older woman walking towards him. "You look very handsome."

"Th-Thanks." Peter finally spoke, watching as she walked past him and into the kitchen as well.

"You got his name right?" Liz's mom asked her husband, sternly staring at the man.
