"Is it going to hurt?""It shouldn't be sense you'll be knocked out."
"But what if it does?"
"Then suck it up and be a man." Tony grumbled, hitting his chest with the palm of his hand.
A scoff escapes from El as she rolled her eyes at the older man. She had been laying down on a laid back chair as Tony hovered over her, feeling around her collar to see where it would be a good place to put the button.
"First off, I'm a girl. Second off, answer my damn questions you coward." She challenged him, raising an eyebrow.
Tony dropped his arms in frustration as he glared down at girl, beginning to wonder why he dealt with her attitude.
"A coward?" He asked the young girl in disbelief as he glared down at her. "You're the one asking it it'll hurt!"
El couldn't help but chuckle at her father figure and gently shake her head at him. "I'm just playing." She chuckled. "It's just a prank bro."
"Well, Imma "just a prank bro" you upside the head if you don't stop asking questions." He warned her, causing her to raise an eyebrow in confusion.
"How do you–" But before El could finish her question, Tony smacked the back of her head, earning a painful groan in response.
"It's just a prank bro!" He exclaimed, with a proud grin on his face. El turned her head to glare at the older man, she couldn't believe that he had just smacked her across the head. Tony couldn't help but chuckle once more, mentally patting himself on the back.
"Okay, are you ready?" He asked, making sure she was ready to be knocked out so they could implant the button. With a sigh, El nodded her head, laying back down into the bed like chair. Slowly, Tony brought the mask up to El's face but before it could actually reach her nose and mouth, her hand quickly grabbed ahold of Tony's wrist, stopping him from moving the mask closer to her face.
"I've got one more question." She rushed out before sitting straight up and giving Tony a hopeful smile.
A groan escapes fromHim as he pulled the mask down, setting it back on the table that was near him. "Go for it."
"Okay so..." She paused for a moment, trying to think of a way to explain her situation without sounding crazy. "So, I have been having these dreams, well nightmares actually and there's this... purple man."
Tony furrowed his eyebrows as she mentioned a "purple man" in her dreams. He leaned in a bit closer, listening to her explain more about her dreams.
"And he keeps saying "I'm coming for you"..." She froze, shivers running down her spine as the purple man's voice rung through her ears. "Should I be worried?"
The older man inhaled a breath before gently nodding his head, not wanting to like to the poor girl. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders, embracing the young girl in a hug.
"As much as I want to tell you no, I can't." He admitted before pulling back from the hug to look her in the eyes. "That purple man is Thanos and he's extremely dangerous. But don't worry, we'll train you well enough to be prepared."
Hesitantly, El nodded her head, willing to do anything to get rid of this man in her head. She quickly wrapped her arms around Tony's neck, pulling the older man into a hug. Without hesitation, Tony hugged her back. Silently praying that it was just nightmare's and nothing serious.
