The young girl ran as quick as she could to the school. She was beginning to grow worried because Peter hadn't answering any of her calls. If something were to happen to him without her knowing, she wouldn't be able to live with herself."Hey F.R.I.D.A.Y." El panted as she continued running down the street with her mask on. "Call Ned please."
"Yes Ms. Stark."
The small piece in her ear began to ring, signaling that it was calling Ned. After a few rings, Ned had answered.
"Hey El-"
"Ned where's Peter?" She rushed out, her eyes widening once the school came into eyesight. "It's important."
"He ran off down the hallway. Maybe outside, I don't know." Ned answered. "Why what's going on?"
A sigh escapes from El as she reaches the school, hearing the music for the dance from outside.
"Follow where he went." El instructed, looking around from outside. "We'll explain once we see you."
Right after she finished speaking, she ended the call, still looking around. People had stared at her in shock as she stood there. They had known her as Shadow-Phoenix in this costume, not Electra.
A loud yell rang in El's ears, making her snap her head towards it. Without hesitation she ran towards the loud noises until she found herself where all the busses had been parked. She ran towards them, throwing her hands down as blue aura shot from them causing her to fly up. Her eyes darted towards another bus, noticing Peter go flying through it.
El landed back on both feet grabbing the man who had hit Peter's attention. She quickly threw a strike of blue aura at him, knocking him into a bus. A painful groan escaped from his lips, as he stumbled to the ground.
She quickly took this time to run into the bus Peter was thrown in and check on him. "Peter are you okay?" She rushed out, kneeling down next to him.
Peter looked up at El, his eyes immediately widening. "You came?" He asked in shock. He believed that she wouldn't show up because of the way he acted towards her.
El nodded her head, furrowing her eyebrows at the boy. "Yes of course, I don't want you hurt-"
She was cut off by a loud punch that came from the side of the bus. A loud shriek escaped from her as the bus lifted of the ground and into the air. But before she could get out of reach, Peter quickly wrapped his arms around her, trying to protect her from getting hurt.
The bus landed on its roof once it reached the ground, making El and Peter fall into broken glass.
A small gasp escapes from El as she feels multiple pieces of glass cut into her legs. She looked down, noticing the emergency exit giving them a way to get out. She quickly shot another strike of the blue aura, breaking open the emergency exit.
Peter crawled out, landing on the hard cement with El following behind him. Once she landed in the cement a small cry escaped from her as she looked down at her cut legs. Her hand hovered over them with the aura surrounding them.
She began to heal herself as the man who hit the bus walked towards them. Peter quickly grabbed her arm, pulling her along with him.
"Why did he send you here?" He asked, a small painful groan escaping as he did.
The man shrugged, looking down at the two as the weapon surrounding his arm lit back up. "Guess you'll never know." He answered, lifting up the weapon.
El's eyes widened as she quickly tried to heal herself before he could kill them. But before she did, a thwip went off, catching both Peter and El's attention.
