Chapter 10

A man in love is invincible.

He feels as if he can conquer anything, even the universe. Nothing is too hard for him. Everything can be handled even with his mere hand.

That's how I feel coming in to work.

"That's a wrap!"

Along with the fading of lights, my smile widens. I look at my watch and let a content sigh.

I still have time. I wonder what she's doing right now.

Laopo, are you still on location?

I press send and wait for her reply.

"Yang Yang, are you free tonight? Let's go to Chao ge's house." My co-star, Zhang Tian'ai, calls out from behind me.

My phone sounds before I can answer.

Shi, da shen. I'm currently on break though.

Perfect. I smile as I key in my reply. Her location's not far from mine, 15 minutes tops and I'm there.

"Yang Yang?" Tian'ai taps my shoulder. "I said let's go to Chao ge's house tonight."

I look at her absentmindedly.

Oh, right. Deng Chao's house.

"I can't. I have somewhere to go to." I look again at my watch. "In fact, I should get going."

"But Chao ge invited us." She pouts as I fix my things.

I really have no time for this.

"It's alright. He can come by my house next time." Chao ge smiles at me.

I smile at him in gratitude. "I'll visit you one of these days, Chao ge."

"I'll count on you then." He smiles playfully. "Oh and give my regards to the beautiful girl you'll be meeting."

I feel suddenly shy in front of my senior.

How did he know?

"Hao de, Chao ge."

I wave to them as I start to rush off. Just as I am nearing the exit, I hear Chao ge laughing.

"Only a beautiful woman can make a young man speed off like that."

I smile to myself as I close the door behind me. Yes, only a beautiful woman can make me rush off like this.

Only my wife can.

"Shuang Mei, I'm hungry."



I pat the head of Xiao Tong sympathetically. We've been on standby for three hours straight and until now, our food hasn't come yet.

"It's not yet here?" Xiang ge groans seeing no food on the table.



"Let's just wait a bit more. It's peak hours after all." I smile at him as he sits beside me.

"I'm so hungry, Shuang Mei. We've been filming since early morning and we haven't had lunch yet." He groans as he lays his head on my lap.

I laugh as he pouts cutely. "Ay, this kid." I ruffle his hair affectionately.
