Everyone expects to be understood,
But alas, no one understands,
People just jump into conclusions,
Without thinking of the underlying truth,
People expects to be loved,
Slowly but steadily, Just to be loved,
When everyone surrounding them,
Are players, masterminds in tricking hearts,
Everyone expects to be successful,
With hard work and by being fair,
But people around them leap before them,
With cheating and shortcuts, and wins afar,
So having a great expectation is good,
'Cause no one should stop you from dreaming,
But don't dream for something unattainable,
And break down crying for the loss,
If you dream big, work harder,
Give your best in order,
To make it a reality and most of all,
Be fair, and respect other's hardship too,
And always have your heart with you,
'Cause as long as your heart is with you,
Your expectations could match the reality too,
By just being true to yourself,
With a pinch of hard work to add,
You will have your own success story in brew,
Expectations and Reality could go hand in hand,
But you need to be prepared for everything beforehand,
You can't expect to get everything handed to you,
Be ready for the unexexpectable too,
Just be firm with your belief,
Belief in your hard work and talent,
That no matter what you have to endure,
You will overcome it all,
'Cause if you believe in yourself,
No matter whom you have to compete with,
At the end of it all,
You will reach the top,
All you have to do, is be fair,
And respect and accept your competitor too,
And whether they play fair or not,
Never stoop to their level,
'Cause you could win, and make your expectations,
A reality through shortcuts,
But in your heart, you will always be in doubt,
Whether you even deserve where you are,
Or even worse, you would doubt,
Whether you are capable of redoing it again,
And reaching the top, which you could,
But you will never know and so,
You will never be happy to get the fruit,
Without having to do any labour for it!
