Chapter 5

"Right you lot, less chattering. Form a group over there and turn to page 49 in your books." Hagrid said

"And how exactly do you do that?" Draco sneered

"Why stroke the spine of course." Hagrid said

"I think they're funny." Hermione said to Ron, harry, and I

"Oh, yeah, terribly funny," Draco said "Really witty god this place has gone to the dogs. Wait until my father hears Dumbledore's got this oaf teaching classes."

"Shut up, Malfoy." Harry said Draco stepped closer to harry and I was standing next to both of them as he came closer

"Dementor, Dementor!" Draco said pointing and cowering I let out a little scream and hid into Harry scared of the dementor.

Turns out that it was only a joke and he was just being an ass. So as everyone else walked away I went straight up to him and slapped him.

"That was a mean joke you ass hole" I said and walked away leaving him and his friends stunned

"You shouldn't have done that." Hermione said

"What do you want me to apologize for?" I asked her and she didn't answer

"Isn't he beautiful?" Hagrid said to us about the creature "Say hello to buck beak."

"Hagrid, what is that?" Ron asked

"That Ron is a hippogriff. First thing you wanna know is they are very proud creatures. They are very easily offended. You do not want to insult a hippogriff. It may just be the last thing you ever do."

"Now who would like to say hello?" Hagrid asked and all of us backed up except for harry

"Well done Harry, well done." Hagrid said "Come on now. Now you have to let him make the first move. It's only polite. So step up give him a nice bow if he bows back then you can touch him if not. Well we'll get to that later."

Harry bows then Buckbeak starts freaking out and then Harry tries backing but stops then Buckbeak bows back so Harry gets to pat him then Harry gets to ride him ha I think I will be plenty pleased here on the ground thank you very much. I went over to talk to Hagrid while everyone talked to each other

"Hagrid, how did you manage to find Buckbeak?" I asked if he was about to answer but Harry landed on the ground but I stood near Hagrid while everyone clapped for harry. Hagrid and Harry were talking when I noticed Draco walk up quickly to Buckbeak insulting him.

"Malfoy, No!" Hagrid screamed

"Draco look out" I said running towards him but only to be hit by Buckbeak as well

I stood up immediately but clutched my shoulder. I could feel the blood seeping out of my new found wound but I tried to cover it up. Hagrid took Draco to the hospital wing and then Hermione noticed me I mean of course she notice

"Cleo what happened? Buckbeak got you too?" she said, "Let's go."

"Where are we going?" I asked as she grabbed our books

"To the hospital wing," She said and we walked up to the school and when we reached the wing Hagrid was still there and so was Dumbledore

"What is wrong Miss Granger," Dumbledore asked my sister

"She tried to push Malfoy away from Buckbeak but she got hurt too." She said

"I'm fine look it's just a scratch" I said taking my hand away and boy a shouldn't of done that my hand and shirt were dripping with blood

"Okay that's a lot of blood, maybe I should sit down." I said sitting on the hospital bed beside Draco's bed.

"Don't worry, Miss Granger, your sister will be fine." Madame Pomfrey said and my sister left
