“I’ll miss you,” Olivia murmured as she kissed Lionel goodbye, it had been three weeks since they’d had their first date and the couple had slowly come together.

Olivia was twenty-one weeks pregnant and Lionel couldn’t have been happier, the two had yet to make things official between them but the Argentinian knew that it was just around the corner.

Lionel was going away for the last match of the season, he was flying out to Madrid and wouldn’t be back for a few days.

“Not as much as I will miss you,” Lionel told her, he had plans of spending his summer with her when the season was over before he was called away for international duty.

Olivia smiled at him pressing her lips to his one final time before Gerard chuckled and pulled Lionel gently away from the brunette, who rolled her eyes at his cheeky grin.

“You can’t miss him if he doesn’t leave,” Gerard said making Lionel laugh lightly before he collected his bag, Gerard slipped away leaving the couple alone.

“I’ll call you when I arrive at the hotel,” Lionel promised her making the brunette nod as she crossed her arms; the Argentine stood still for a moment looking torn at the idea of leaving her behind.

“Messi get a move on,” Carles Puyol shouted making the younger man roll his eyes before he smiled at Olivia and walked away to join the others leaving her behind.

Phillip Pavon smiled as he rang his youngest daughter’s doorbell, he knew that his wife would kill him if she knew what he was about to do; he glanced at Gavin, who grinned at him as the door opened.

“Dad… Gavin… what are you both doing here?” Olivia asked as she stared at the two of them, Phillip smiled at his daughter before asking be allowed inside of her home.

The brunette did so warily, she didn’t know what her father was up to but it couldn’t be good; Olivia glanced at Gavin, it definitely wasn’t going to be good especially since she planned to break up with him.

“Olivia, it’s time to stop all this silliness… you and Gavin belong together,” Phillip said making Olivia sigh as they walked into the living room.

Olivia knew how much her father liked Gavin but she wasn’t going to make herself unhappy anymore, better a broken engagement than a broken marriage.

Gavin frown as he realised that she wasn’t wearing the engagement ring that he had given her, he had noticed that last time he had seen her.

“Olivia, my love, he’s right stop this silliness with the Argentinian… you belong with me,” Gavin said sickly sweet to her; Olivia wanted to throw up, she was never going to take him back and she was sure of that fact.

Looking at his daughter, Phillip frowned as she shook her head as she moved to collect something from the mantel piece before she handed it to Gavin.

“I can’t marry you Gavin… after all we have been through, I’m so sorry but I don’t love you like I did anymore,” Olivia said softly as she sat back in her place; the lawyer looked at the engagement ring that she had given him back.

“You can’t be serious… your choosing him over me,” Gavin snarled making Olivia swallowed, she knew how bad his temper could get and wished that Lionel was here with her.

“He’s right… you’ve known this Lionel for five months and you’re throwing everything we have away for him,” Phillip said disgusted as Olivia nodded, she wasn’t giving in to her father’s wants anymore; this was her life, not his.

“I was only ever with Gavin because that’s what you wanted, what you wanted dad… I’m sorry I can’t pretend anymore that I’m happy because I wasn’t, with Lionel it’s different… I love him,” Olivia told the two of them as they stared at her in shock of her admission.

Lionel smiled as the Barcelona PR agent lead him down a corridor to meet a little girl, who had asked to meet him; she was terminally ill and the Argentine wanted to make her wish come true.

“Okay her name is Leona Garcia and she is… eight years old,” the PR Agent told him as they stopped outside of the room, where the little girl was waiting to meet him.

“Have fun,” the PR agent said before walking away leaving him alone, Lionel took a deep breath as he looked at the door; he slowly stepped inside, where he was greeted by the sight of a little girl with a bandana around her bald head.

“Hola,” he greeted as he closed the door behind him, the little girl smiled at him in excitement at seeing the Argentine.

“You must be Leona,” Lionel said as he sat down next to her, Leona nodded shyly as she glanced over at her parents who were talking quietly in the corner; the two of them looked extremely tired.

“That’s me,” Leona said softly making Lionel smile at her softly, he knew that one day he would have a little girl himself and would do anything to protect her and her mother; who had won his heart.

The footballer smiled as he signed some autographs for Leona, he couldn’t imagine the pain that her parents were feeling at the thought of losing their little girl.

“I know you’re upset and I was always your little girl… but this is my life, I know what I want and it’s Leo and this baby,” Olivia said as Gavin rolled his eyes, he didn’t know what was going on but he hoped that Phillip would be able to talk her out of this.

“Gavin is the right choice for you,” her father said making Olivia sigh and shake her head, he wasn’t listening to her or what she wanted. Olivia watched her father, she knew that if he wasn’t going to accept what she wanted, and then he no longer had a place in her life.

“Will you just stop preaching on how you want me to live my life,” Olivia snapped making her father stare at her shocked, she had never spoken to him like that before; he didn’t like it.

“If you can’t understand that I am happy with Lionel… we are having a baby and that is what I want… then I don’t want you in my life dad. Gavin, you are a great guy but we aren’t happy anymore… I wish you the best in the future,” Olivia said making the two men stare at her dumbfounded, they hadn’t expected this when they had come to see her.

“Now Get Out,” Olivia spat disgusted that they thought they could bully her into doing what they wanted, she wouldn’t do it anymore; she wasn’t that little girl who went along with what her father wanted anymore.

“Olivia, sweetheart…” Phillip tried to reason as Gavin stood up and stormed out of the house, he wasn’t going to waste time on something that wasn’t important anymore.

“I mean it padre… if you can’t be happy for me then get out and don’t come back,” Olivia said finally, Phillip stared at his youngest daughter for another moment before he too left her alone in her home; he stopped by the door for a moment wanting to see if she would call him back and apologise but she didn’t.

Olivia didn’t even look at him as her father left her home, she had a feeling that this wasn’t over but her relationship with Gavin finally was; she could now make things between her and Lionel official.
