Chapter 32: Epilogue

I strolled into the kitchen to see Isabella busy preparing something in the kitchen.

I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her cheeks.

''Hey, Izzy..''

''Phin.''

''What'cha doin'?''

''Just making dinner.''

''Don't you need a rest?''

''Nope, you should be the one deserving the rest, after all these years of taking care of the kids''

I gave Isabella a quick peck.

''You're the best.''

''Glad to know, after all these years.''

She returned to baking the potatoes.

''What are you making?''

''Western cuisine, any problems?''

''I was craving for lasagna..''

''I knew you would say that,'' she pointed into the oven, where a big tray sat at the bottom.

''Thanks, Izzy.''

''Call the kids to wake up, I'm almost done.''

I walked into the living room, where the 4 kids lay sleeping in all sorts of weird positions.

Rachael with her specs lopsided and a book on her.

Jessie with her arm dangling from the couch.

Sheryl laying sprawled on the ground.

Percival in a sitting position, with earpiece.

''Kids, wake up.''

Nothing happened.

I have the thing just for a situation like this.

I crouched next to Rachael's ear.

''James is here, honey.''

Rachael shot up and adjusted her hair and bow, and pushed up her specs.

I laughed.

''You fell for it the fifth time already! And it's so obvious you like him!''

Rachael pouted and placed the book aside.

''Sis, wake up! Your council of builder's were asking me whether you were awake and I said no, and they were like ok, we are going to slushy dog to eat...''

Jessie just grunted and returned back to sleep.

''Jessie,'' I bent down next to her ''where's Perry?''

''He is in his basket.''

''No, he is not.''

Jessie opened her eyes and I blocked her view from Perry's basket.

She sat upright and tried to outrun me.

When she finally got to see Perry's basket, she just grunted.

''Well, you got me, but not next time.''

Jessie pulled her brother's earpiece out of his ears.

Percival annoyed, took back his earpieces from Jessie and gave her twin sister a light step on the stomach.

''Oh...''

Sheryl got up and rubbed her stomach.

''I'm hungry.'' Sheryl looked towards the kitchen
