*Flashback*
Nick walked me down the staircase and led me outside to the jeep in the driveway.
"Hold on honey." He said. I then heard a car door open and he led me to the seat and reached over my lap to buckle me in. "Just a couple more minutes and I can take the blindfold off." He then shut the door and I smiled. I waited until I heard his door open to my left before responding.
"And you can't tell me where we are going?" I asked, yet again.
"No honey, I made a promise." I groaned at the same response I had been getting for the last 15 minutes. When the car hadn't started yet I looked to what I thought was his direction. He chuckled and moved my face a couple more inches to the left.
"What?" I asked at his laugh.
He chuckled again. "Nothing sweetheart. You are just so pretty." That's when a laugh escaped me. He then started the car and we began to pull out of the driveway.
"I'm pretty?" I asked. "Even with this black blindfold on, probably messing up my hair." He just laughed.
"Yep." He replied popping the 'P'.
When we pulled up somewhere and he parked the car I started smiling wider. He then turned off the engine.
"Stay right here honey, i'll be right back." I just chuckled and heard his car door shut. I waited in my seat humming a tune that had been on the radio and twirled my thumbs in circles.
When I heard my door open I felt a hand reach across my lap to unbuckle me. "Where are we Nicky?" I asked him.
When there was no response I smiled more. "Nicky! Where are we?" I asked again. This time I got a chuckle in his response.
I then felt his hot breath sweep across my ear. "I told you, I promised I wouldn't tell." The heat of his whisper made my whole body shiver in response. He then picked me up and threw me over his shoulder carrying me like my weight resembled a feather.
"Ahh! Nicky let me down!" I shouted at him laughing and beating my fist against his back.
"I can't! You'll know where we are." He replied with a laugh. When I heard whispers all around I thought I knew where we were and as I was sat down I ran my foot along the floor. I recognized the pattern of the rocks in the sidewalk and knew exactly where we were.
"Shh.." I heard a couple people mumble from different directions around me.
I smiled and my cheeks got a little heated from how embarrassing I must look right now. I then felt hands cup around my face and I was startled. I began to recognize the warmth of them though and ran my hands down the arms that cuddled my face. "Alright sweetheart, I can take the blindfold off now." Nick said as he fiddled with the knot in the back of the blindfold. I winced when he pulled some of my hair but maintained a smile.
"Alright sweety." He began to pull slowly at the blindfold and I got excited. "Tada!!" He yelled as he ripped the blindfold away from my eyes.
"Surprise!!!!!" Dozens of people shouted all around me. I was so excited and embarrassed at the same time so I covered my mouth with my hands in an attempt to control the laughter and blush in my cheeks.
I took in familiar faces all around me. There was June, a friend from work;Summer, a childhood friend I'd known since high school; Rick from the office and Lauren his girlfriend. Dozens of other faces met my gaze with smiles all around.
