When I arrived at Nick's parent's house the valet service took my keys from me to park my car. I was always leery of giving my keys away, even to the valet, because I wasn't rich and couldn't afford another car if this one was stolen. I decided to wear an eloquent dress that Mrs. Anderson had picked out for me when she took me on a shopping trip when I first started dating Nick. It was a cocktail party dress which from the planning, I deemed suitable for the event. The dress was slim fitting and reached until my heels. I pulled my hair into a side fishtail braid and wore a silver pendant that complimented the dress. When I had walked through the door Kyle opened it at my second knock. Standing with one hand behind his back, he moved to the side so I could enter.

"Good evening Mrs. Anderson. The guests are in the foyer along with the other Andersons and the dining room is filled with beverages." I smiled at him, nodding my head, although he didn't return the smile. I chuckled a little because he never did, I swear he would make a perfect Queen's guard in England.

"Thank you Kyle." I replied as I made my way to the dining room. He shut the door behind me and moved away into the kitchen.

When I arrived I stood in the doorway taking in how beautiful everything here was, there was silver pearls lining the vases and the table was lined with a silver tablecloth. Candles were set down the middle of the table but weren't lit yet. I noticed the bartenders off to the side watching my every move so I went to them to order a drink.

"Hello, what can I get you?" One of them answered as the other went into the kitchen.

"Umm..." I trailed off thinking about a simple drink. "I suppose I'll have a mimosa." I ultimately settled on.

"One mimosa? Alright." She then began to get the chilled champagne and poured it into a mixer. Next she ducked down to grab the orange juice from the mini refrigerator at her feet. Bringing that up she poured a little into the mixer and shook slightly. She poured the finished drink into a glass and I grabbed it from her when she offered.

Looking at her name tag I replied. "Thank you Julie." Her face lit up as I called her by her name. Most guests would just order a drink, wander off and not even say thank you when they grabbed it.

"You're welcome, Mrs. Anderson." This time my face lit up. I loved hearing my last name, each time reminding me of the lovely man I married. I nodded my head politely and smiled again stepping away from the table. I then turned and began to head down to the foyer where I began to dread my commitment to this party. The room was filled with tuxedos and eloquent dresses. Each person talking in a group. I looked around the room holding a smile on my face just so no one would catch my doubt.

I then felt a hand sweep onto my arm and I turned to find Mrs. Anderson looking at me up and down with hidden disapprovement in her smile.

"There you are dear, I was beginning to think you had made other arrangements." She chuckled nervously, as did I.

"Nope." I said smiling, that fake smile I do around her. "Here I am, in the flesh." I said as I took a sip from my drink. I savored the sweetness as it hit my tongue and melted. I would definitely be needed more of these if I was going to be staying for dinner.

"Well, that's great." She stated still holding that smile. She then looked around the room quickly and spotted someone she knew. Waving over to them, she leaned into me. "Excuse me dear, guests await me." Without a second glance she left my arm and went to meet her friends. They obviously were more entertaining because when she walked up she immediately started laughing with them. No doubt members of her women's club for rich people. I chuckled a little then searched the room until I found Jesse and Katy. Katy had a dress on that no doubt was also picked out by Johanne, Mrs. Anderson.

I began to walk over to them when a arm snaked behind my back and rested on my upper waist. I was shocked and turned to see who the culprit was. I began to tear up as I looking into those familiar eyes.

"Hey baby doll." He smiled at me. "Happy Thanksgiving." He then pulled me into him and I gave him a big hug. Everyone else had suddenly began clapping as they noticed his uniform. I turned with blush filling my cheeks and tears flowing down my face. I nervously laughed and waved sheepishly to the guests. Johanne approached me again with a big smile.

"It's a good thing you came now isn't it darling." She winked at me and I laughed.

"Yes ma'am it is." She then hugged Nick as I wiped away more tears and we stepped outside for some air after everyone made their rounds to say hello to him.

"So, you didn't believe me when I said I'd be home sooner then you think?" Nick laughed as he held me close to him. I shook my head as I leaned into his side. We walked to the side of the pool and sat in one of the porch swings.

"How long have you been back?" I asked as I looking up in his eyes. He held his hand on my thigh and I tingled at his touch.

"Not long, I stayed the night here last night and I Skyped you from the library." He chuckled. "I wore my uniform so you would think I was still there." I then smiled at how this all worked out and I laid my head on his shoulder.

"Well, I'm glad you are back, at least for a little while." I smiled as he laid his head on top of mine.

"Me too sweetheart..me too." We laid there, taking in each other's presence until dinner was served. Katy came out to tell us the table was set and we all made our way to the long table in the dining room. The candles were now lit and we sat around it. Jesse and Katy were sat across from Nick and Me. Nick held his hand on top of mine the whole dinner and afterwards we were tempted to just go home. Johanne understood and sent us home with left overs and dessert. My car was pulled around and the keys were handed to me.

Nick leaned close and tempted me with a kiss but didn't come through as his hot breath lingered on my lip, itching for more. He twisted the keys out of my hand gently and pulled away to meet my ear.

"I guess you'll have to wait until we get home." He whispered then pulled away completely. I rolled my eyes but didn't complain. He opened the passenger door for me then made his way to the drivers seat as I buckled myself in.

When we arrived home there were rose petals lining the floor, leading to our bedroom. I turned to meet Nick with a smile but he beat me to it. He dropped the keys in the bowl by the door and wrapped his arms around me pulled me close and smashed his lips onto mine.

"I've been waiting to do this for a month, and 3 weeks now." He mumbled as he deepened the kiss. I smiled against his lips and pulled away violently in a tease as he shut the door with his foot. He looked confused for a moment then a smirk played on his face as I pulled out the tie holding my hair in place. I slowly then undid my braid and ruffled it, seducing him as I did. I then traced my fingers down to the zipper on my side and his eyes widened. I stopped and laughed at his state.

"Teaser!!" He yelled then picked me up bridal style as I laughed. I reached behind him jokingly.

"But I wasn't done!!" I yelled as I laughed. He smiled and slammed me down on our bed when we got in our room.

He leaned in to kiss me when his heated breath met my ear. "I guess I'll just have to finish for you than." He then grabbed my ear in between his lips and kissed it gently. I turned my head, suppressing a moan that crawled to the back of my throat and he smiled. He then took out my earrings and laid them on the end table. He trailed kisses down my neck and slowly undid the clasp in the back. Lastly, he trailed kisses down my shoulders until he reached the zipper that undid my dress.

"I love you Nicky." I moaned as he slowly zipped it down my back. He kissed my collarbone and I moaned again.

"I love you more."
