I woke to find Nick's green eyes looking into mine. I smiled and was happy I was finally able to wake up to him again, at least for only a little while.

"Hey there beautiful." Nick whispered loud enough for me to hear. He then brought his hand to my face and moved my messy hair away from my face. "You are perfect, you know that?" He smiled in awe at me and I blushed.

"Well I'm glad someone thinks so." I mumbled and chuckled. He moved his head slightly and held his smile.

"Everyone knows so." He laughed slightly. He leaned in to kiss me and his chest touched my bare chest, I could feel his heart beating against mine and I closed my eyes, prepared for the kiss. He trailed kisses down my neck and nibbled gently on my ear before returning to my lips, just as a moan was about to surpass my lips.

He pulled away and began to pull away the covers. I grabbed his arm and he turned his back to face me again, holding a wide smile on his face.

"Stay with me just a little bit longer." I almost pleaded. I tugged slightly at his arm and he reluctantly laid back under the covers.

"Anything for you." He whispered into my hair as I turned my back to lay against him. His arm became my pillow and it may have been numb but he didn't show any pain. His hot breath hit my scalp with every exhale. He wrapped his other arm over my arm pulling me into him closer against his chest. I don't remember how long I laid there or when Nick left when I fell asleep but I remember waking up to the sun.

The sun shined through the blinds of our room shining directly on my eyelids. I moved my hand over to create a shadow before opening my eyes. I heard humming in the kitchen and smelled eggs and toast. I happily removed the covers over me and threw on a robe. I walked to the kitchen and found Nick wearing my apron and a pair of sweatpants and I covered my mouth as a laugh escaped my lips.

I walked over to stand next to him and trailed my fingers over his shoulders as he scrambled eggs in the frying pan. He turned his head to look at me.

"Smells good." I said as I took in a big whiff of the breakfast. I smelt the bread in the toaster and popped it up just in time to not over toast it.

"Do you want a glass of orange juice?" I asked as I stood, knelt down in front of the refrigerator door.

"Sounds good." Nick whispered in my ear as he slapped my butt slightly causing me to jump at how close he was so quietly.

I laughed at the jump, my head hit his chin and he bit his lip causing me to cover my mouth, embarrassed. "Oh honey, I'm so sorry!" I said as I moved my hands to touch his chin. "Are you okay?" I asked as he moved his tongue around.

"Yea, just bit me tong." He said with his tongue sticking out of his mouth. I laughed at his impaired speech and he smiled.

"That was my fault." He said laughing with me as his tongue slipped back into his mouth, returning to speak normal.

"It was funny though." I laughed more and began to grab plates for our breakfast. I returned to the fridge and grabbed the orange juice. I then poured it into two separate glasses, one for each of us. Turning I saw him finish putting buttered toast on each plate. I smiled and walked towards the table where he followed behind me placing our plates on the table mats. We both sat in chairs across from each other and ate our breakfast.

"Thanks for breakfast sweetheart." I smiled at him, while I chewed a piece of toast.

"No problem." He replied with a smile while lifting a forkful of eggs to his mouth.

After a short silence a tugging at my heart made me ask the question that's been on my mind for days since he came back. "So..." I trailed off looking down at my plate suddenly losing my appetite. "How long are you staying this time?" I asked. I then slowly looked back up to him and he grabbed my hand from across the table.

"A couple more days, then I have to leave again." He said as he squeezed my hand reassuringly. He had a look of disappointment on his face as I shed a tear. I quickly wiped it away and tried to start eating again.

"I see." I then tried veering the topic off course a little bit and a thought popped into my head, something that Summer had said. "Hey Nick?" I began as I took a drink of my orange juice.

He took a bite of his toast and looked up at me. "Hmm?" He grunted, while chewing.

"Do you still want to have kids...or a kid?" I asked slowly. His reaction wasn't immediate but eventually a smile overcame his face and he slipped off his seat.

"Of course." He said picking up his glass and bringing it back to the kitchen. "Why?" He asked as he got the orange juice back out.

"Well..." I trailed off, turning to watch him pour his juice. "I guess I was just thinking. I think.." I said quietly. "I think I'm ready too." I smiled slightly, lifting my eyebrows at his expression. He smiled widely with a gleam in his eyes. He then walked back over to the table, placing his glass back on his side by reaching near me. He leaned down and nuzzled his head into the crook of my neck.

"With you, most definitely." He mumbled and then kissed my cheek before walking back over to his chair. He got back in it and I smiled over at him. "Well, I guess we better go shopping then." I said as I looked down at my plate. Even though I couldn't see his face I could feel the puzzled look.

"Huh?" He asked, fearing he knew the answer already I smiled widely up at him.

"Nick..." I started. Smiling like the Cheshire Cat I gleamed into his eyes. "I'm pregnant." I said touching my stomach that would soon be grown out the size of a basketball.

"What?!" He exclaimed, excitedly. He then hopped out of his chair and ran over to me. I hopped out as he lifted me gently into the air. "Honey that's great!! You're great! Oh my goodness that's--" he stopped and bent down to speak to my stomach. "Hey there little one...I'm your daddy, Nick." Still on his knees he looked up at me as a tear fell down my cheek. He smiled and slowly rose up to meet my gaze. He took my face in his hands and kissed me softly.

"We're going to be parents baby doll." He then hugged me tightly and I smiled against his shoulder, wrapping my arms around his waist.

Yes we are. I spoke in my head.
