“Make it stop,” I complained resting my head on Dillon’s shoulder.
“How,” he asked.
“I don’t know, but I swear to God that if it doesn’t stop then I’m just
gonna die!”
I didn’t like complaining but it seems like it’s all I do now that I’m
seven months pregnant.
“You know that if I could make it stop, I would,” Dillon told me. “When’s
your next doctors appointment?”
“Tomorrow,” I answered, “why?”
“Isn’t there anything that Dr. Bradshaw can do to relieve pain like this,” he
asked curiously.
“I don’t think so,” I told him trying not to laugh at his question. “Them
kicking is all natural and probably can’t be relieved by anything.”
“Well then do you want another massage?” I swear that he’s given me like
ten massages already today.
“No, I’m okay,” I laughed.
“It’s good to see you laugh,” he smiled looking down at me.
“It feels good to laugh since I’m always ornery,” I said.
“Are you seven or still six months pregnant?”
“Seven, I think,” I answered.
“Nice,” he said. “Hey, do you want to go out tonight?”
“You want to take a giant, waddling hippo out on a date,” I asked
incredulously.
“Of course,” he said simply. “We’ve been dating for almost five months
and I think that we should celebrate that.”
“Okay, but nothing too fancy,” I said sternly.
“It’ll be the best date you have ever been on, Mandi Belle Williams,” he
whispered in my ear.
“Stop using my full name, Dillon Kieffer Hansen,” I scolded him.
“Why,” he asked. “You always use my full name so I think that it’s only
fair that I get to use your full name on you.”
“I only call you by your full name because you always call me by my full
name first,” I explained.
“So do you like driving my old car?”
I had been mad at him for the past few weeks cause he’d bought a new truck
and gave me his car instead of selling it.
“Shut up,” I said. “You know that I still think that you should have sold it to
make a profit.”
“I know, but my parents helped me buy the truck and it was inexpensive. Plus,
