"Whatcha doin?" The boy whom I've become hopelessly in love with asked me. He attempted to peek over the binder I held close as I wrote. Effortlessly, I chuckle and set down my pen. looking up at him from across the bed, I can't help but smile. Handing him the paper in which I quickly scribbled, he chuckled at the paper.
"Well, what's this for?" He looked confused as all hell at the paper. "It's a couples bucket list. I mean, I figured we're getting married and such, right?" I beat around the bush at that answer but it was good for some bullshit. He smiled this big smile and I knew that he didn't mind my answer at all. We laid down next to each other, fitting together like a puzzle piece.
"This is only the beginning, do you know that?" I looked up at him.
"Beginning of what?" He responded rather quickly.
"Of our story. We're 2 teenagers in love, half way done with high school. Imagine the things we can do when were out of high school. Incredible things. Then as we do this bucket list. We can mark everything down, take pictures. Ya know, make it special. There are tons of things and ways to show you my love and this is just one of many. I made this list so our relationship never dies. You feel?" We both laughed. I sounded rather stupid saying that but isn't that what love is? Learning to laugh at yourself because the other person doesn't really mind your stupidity.
"You mean to tell me that you think I'm boring?" He smirked and kissed my nose.
"I don't mean to tell you straight forward. I'm just indirectly saying that because of this crazy list, we will keep our relationship spontaneous and fun-filled. Even though this list is not exactly all romantic and loving, at the end of the day it reminds us of our love for each other. That, we can have crazy fun days filled with danger and adrenaline but at the same time we could always go for a lazy, stay at home type of day." By this point I had got his attention. All of his features were completely aligned and he looked so perfect in my eyes. I knew right then as I leaned in to peck him on the lips that this would be the perfect way to show my love for him.
As 10 o'clock rolled around and the boy with the blue eyes left my house I began to write. Not only did I write my emotions but I wrote down everything. The anxiety began to rumble and I could feel it in my chest and lower back. I took a break and looked for inspiration else where on ways that I could somehow take my thoughts and put them to paper. Then, it hit me. I turned of my light and laid in bed with a giant smile on my face ready for the next day.
