Newt knocked on Thomas' door at 8:00pm, and the brunet opened it. Newt bit his lip ring absentmindedly; his boyfriend looked gorgeous in skinny jeans and a pink sweater that brought out the blush in his cheeks.

"Hi, Newt." His voice was soft and his fingers played with the sleeves of the sweater.

"Hi, Tommy." Newt smiled, and Thomas scratched the top of his cat's head as a farewell and then locked his door. Newt took his hands, looking down at his angel. "You're so beautiful, darling."

"Thank you, Newt. But you're prettier," Thomas stood on his toes and kissed him softly.

"Shall we go?" Newt asked when they pulled away.

"We shall."

Once they were settled and on their way, Thomas bombarded Newt with questions.

"Where are we going? You never said."

"That's because it's a surprise, love."

"Oh. Well, can I guess?"

"Nope."

"Why not?"

"Because if you guess it, it won't be a surprise!"

"You're so mean sometimes," Thomas pouted and folded his arms.

"But you love me."

"Yeah, I really do." Thomas leaned over and kissed Newt's cheek as he slowed to a stop at a red light.

A few minutes later, they were pulling into the movie theatre section of the mall parking lot.

"Newt!" Thomas squealed in delight.

"Tommy!" Newt laughed, imitating him, and then kissing him when he'd parked. They walked in hand in hand, fighting over who'd pay.

"I asked you so I pay, duh." Newt stuck his tongue out and Thomas shoved him playfully. They got to the till and Thomas smiled at the boy working it. Newt eyed the kid and wrapped an arm around Thomas' waist protectively.

"Two tickets to... hey, you never told me what we're seeing!" Thomas frowned up at Newt, who grinned.

"Christopher Robin, please. And a bag of popcorn and two Cokes, thanks."

The boy rang up the total and Newt handed him the money before Thomas could protest. The brunet boy was so excited he couldn't stop bouncing; he'd been wanting to see the Disney movie since he'd seen the trailer. Winnie the Pooh was a huge part of his childhood, and Newt knew that.

Thomas thanked Newt with a kiss and practically dragged him into the theatre. They got the perfect seats, in the middle of the back row.

"Newt, this is so lovely!" The previews on the giant screen were reflected in Thomas' amber eyes.

"Not as lovely as you, baby boy." Newt bent to kiss Thomas, who shook his head and broke it. He stood from his seat and straddled Newt's lap instead, making sure not to spill the popcorn. Newt's hands were on his hips, holding him in place. He cupped Newt's cheeks, deepening the kiss. Newt let out a little groan when Thomas licked his lip ring, a huge turn on for him. The lights dimmed and immediately Thomas gasped, twisting in Newt's lap so he could see the movie and still hold onto Newt.

The little yellow bear and his friends appeared on the screen at a party; a banner saying "goodbye Christopher Robin" hung in the background. They fiddled with tea and party foods, and cheered when Christopher came into the Hundred Acre Woods to join his goodbye party.

"Oh, they're so cute! They look so sad, though," Thomas pouted and Newt smiled fondly.

"Maybe that's because they're sad he's going away." Newt kissed where he could reach, not being able to resist kissing such a kissable boy. Thomas squirmed in his lap and whispered that it tickled, so Newt did it again.

"Newt, stop! Oh look, he's going now." Thomas raised his eyebrow and pointed at the screen. On it, a young Christopher was getting in the car to go to boarding school.

They watched the next bit in silence, but Newt watched Thomas more than the movie. The way he stared at the screen in adoration of the characters was so intoxicatingly pretty. The way he smiled at Christopher and Elizabeth falling in love and the way he chewed his lip and furrowed his brows when Christopher went to war was so, so beautiful. Newt fell deeper in love (if that was even possible) when Thomas' eyes lit up and he laughed at a grown Christopher meeting Pooh again.

Newt couldn't help it, Thomas was just too fucking pure for the whole world. He just smiled as Thomas made remarks or laughed at the movie ('oh, eeyore is a mood' or 'pooh is the sweetest thing ohmygosh'), his boyfriend was too much for him to handle. He tried to resist so Thomas wouldn't miss the movie, but alas, he couldn't.

"Tommy, I love you."

Thomas smiled and turned away from Christopher in a heffalump trap. "I love you too, baby."

"No, you don't get it. I love you more than anything in the world, more than... there isn't any good comparison, my dear. More than Pooh loves honey," Newt took a sip of his coke, watching a small smile grace Thomas' lips.

"I love you too, more than Pooh loves honey. More than Rabbit loves carrots and Piglet loves acorns."

Newt took his boy's face in his hands and kissed him softly, rubbing his thumbs across his cheekbones. It tasted like popcorn and was as gentle as Winnie the Pooh himself. Thomas made a small whiny noise and was about to deepen the kiss when a loud horn sounded.

They jumped apart, their hearts racing, until they realized it was the movie. Madeline had Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet and was boarding the train to London. Newt laughed and shook his head, pulling Thomas closer so the boy was practically laying on him.

They enjoyed the rest of the movie, stopping to share kisses every once and a while, munching popcorn and washing it down with the coke.

The credits rolled and the lights flicked back on, and Thomas sat up and stretched.

"Newt, I think that was the cutest thing I've ever seen."

"You're the cutest thing I've ever seen, darling," Newt gathered their garbage and gave Thomas his last sip of coke. They left the theatre, hand in hand, into the cool night air.

Thomas gushed about the movie and Newt just agreed and put in his opinions and watched Thomas gush.

Ugh, he was so gone for this boy. More in love than Pooh and honey.
