They first met in university through a mutual friend.
"Dylan, this is Thomas, Thomas, Dylan." Ki Hong glanced between the two boys, who shook hands. They were each lost in their own minds, though.
Dylan wondered about the boy in front of him; was he nice? Would he like him? Thomas's blond hair curled over his forehead in a wave, his pale skin flawless, his dark eyes holding a glint of mystery.
To Thomas, Dylan had an immediate air of friendliness, his dark hair sticking up all over, warm brown eyes seemingly welcoming him. He felt familiar to Thomas, and yet he was a complete stranger.
They became fast friends, becoming as close to each other as family.
Dylan screamed at the tv as the opposing team scored again, or whatever it was called. Thomas didn't pay too much attention to sports, especially baseball. But Dylan loved it, never missing a Mets game.
"Oh, come on!" Dylan shouted again, and Thomas shook his head.
"Dylan, shhh. The neighbors are gonna be mad at me." They were at Thomas's apartment, and was supposed to be doing work until Dylan realized there was a Mets game on. Thomas stared in wonder at the younger boy, wondering how someone could be so into a pointless game and look so cute- no, he couldn't think like that.
They went through good times...
"Be an angel and pass the ketchup," Dylan muttered to Thomas who was sitting beside him. They'd gone out for Ki Hong's birthday, to a 50's style diner. When Thomas had raised an eyebrow at him, Ki had just shrugged and went on about good burgers.
"I don't understand how you can have ketchup on your fries when you already vinegar on them," Thomas shook his head, but gave the boy the ketchup anyway.
"It's because he's disgusting!" Kaya called from across the table, and beside her, Will laughed.
They went through bad times...
"Thomas, this is my girlfriend, Britt."
Dylan had brought the blond girl home, an arm wrapped around her. Thomas's chest ached seeing him with someone, though he didn't know why. Had Dylan felt like this when he was dating Isabella?
But then the girl had looked up, and Thomas's pain washed away, replaced with anger. He knew this girl, being older than Dylan and already meeting everyone from the university.
The girl was Britt Robertson, known for being quite slutty. He knew she'd prey on innocent guys like Dylan for sex and then leave them heartbroken. For now, Thomas would pretend to like her; shaking her hand and saying "nice to meet you."
As soon as she left, Thomas let out a sigh in relief. "Dylan, can I talk to you?"
"Go ahead, I'm all ears." The brunet had turned his full attention to the blond, listening true to his word as Thomas told him about Britt.
