The apartment door slammed open, and then shut, and Thomas tried not to flinch. He listened to his boyfriend take off his coat before coming into the living room, looking upset and disheveled.
"Hard day?" Thomas let Dylan fall onto him, wrapping his arms around the brunet, kissing his forehead.
"Acting is hard," he whined, kicking off his shoes and cuddling closer into Thomas. The blond kissed his head again in apology, and Dylan started off. "It's just constantly go, go, go, y'know? I didn't even have time to call you at lunch, which I was looking forward to, we just had to eat and run! Isn't that ridiculous? Not even time to let your actors call their adorable boyfriends, making them get all worried and lonely-"
"-you're not lonely, love-"
"-and tired! And then one of the actresses, you don't know her but she's pretty bitchy, she couldn't do the scene! She said the wrong damn line, every time! I've had my fair share of mess-ups and whatever, but god, woman!"
"Dylan, calm down, please. You're almost yelling, darling." Thomas rocked him back and forth soothingly, like a mother would a child, and it seemed to be working. Dylan took a deep breath in and out and visibly calmed.
"Tomorrow's a day off, so all I wanna do is stay home and relax with you," he leaned up, kissing the underside of Thomas' jaw. Thomas smiled and kissed him properly.
"Why don't I relieve you of your stress? We can take a bath, and watch movies, and I can make us something for supper."
Dylan smiled. "I'd like that."
Thomas smiled and got up, keeping Dylan in his arms and holding him all the way to the bathroom. He set him on the counter, and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips. They shared a smile, and Thomas went to start the bath. He ran the water, tested it with his hand, made sure it was warm and comforting. When he turned around, Dylan was still on the counter, shirt halfway off, watching him.
"What?"
"You're so perfect. I got so lucky with you, Thomas," Dylan's eyes held so much love that he wasn't saying, and Thomas could've cried. They weren't really so outright with compliments, preferring to tell eachother how much they loved the other in other ways. For Dylan to say that, his heart swelled so much it could've come out of his chest.
Instead, he took shirt the rest of the way off, kissing his neck gently. "I love you, so much."
"i love you too, Thomas."
They undressed each other slowly, sharing soft kisses and loving looks. Thomas went to the cabinet and took out a bath bomb, placing it in the water, and then helped Dylan in. He sat behind him and took a cup off of a shelf, filling it with clean water from the tap.
"Close your eyes," his voice was so soft it could have been a whisper, and Dylan did as he was told. Thomas poured the cup over Dylan's head, wetting his hair, extra droplets flowing down his back. Dylan leaned into it, his eyes now closed not because they had to be but because it was heaven. Thomas repeated the action, running his fingers through until it was all soaked, and then grabbed the shampoo bottle.
Squirting some onto his hands, he ran his fingers through the brown locks, rubbing and scratching. Dylan already felt ten times more relaxed than he was when he came home, the warmth soothing his muscles, Thomas' gentle combing relieving stress.
Thomas leaned against Dylan to refill the cup, and then warm water washed over him again, rinsing out the shampoo.
"How are we doing now, love?" Thomas ran his fingers through Dylan's hair as he rinsed.
"So, so much better." Dylan turned when Thomas was done, reaching a hand back to his face and bringing him in for a kiss. "I know we already did this, but I can't tell you enough how much I love you."
Thomas smiled and pecked Dylan's lips softly. "And you couldn't possibly understand how much I love you."
"Try me," Dylan turned around fully, wrapping his legs around Thomas' waist and his arms around his neck. Thomas just grinned, setting his hands on his waist and kissed him again, harder this time. It was the kind of kiss that usually led to sex, but not this time. This time, it was just meant to display the raw emotion between them.
They broke apart when they finally had to, breathing heavily, foreheads together. They stayed in the bath for a little while after that, getting out long after their fingers and toes had pruned and the water wasn't as hot.
Together they made stir fry, talking and laughing while they cooked rice and fried vegtables. The night went perfectly, ending with a movie and falling asleep together on the couch.
