BASED ON "Wake Me Up" BY ED SHEERAN

"See I could do without a tan, on my left hand, where my fourth finger meets my knuckle."
I laid in bed with my head on Willson's chest. The season had just ended and unfortunately the Cubs had lost in the Wild Card. It was heartbreaking, but I was excited for the off season to start. Neither of us were tired, so Willson and I just laid in bed with Friends playing in the background as he played with my hair.

"Abby, you know where I really wouldn't mind not having a tan?" He said randomly and I shrugged. "I don't know, your ass?" I asked and he laughed. "My fourth finger, on my left hand. Where it meets my knuckle." Knowing what he meant, I just blushed and dug my head farther into his shoulder. He lifted my hand and placed a kiss on my fourth finger where it meets my knuckle.

"I'll marry you anytime, any day, anywhere." I told him and he kissed my forehead.

"And I should run you a hot bath, and fill it up with bubbles. Cause maybe you're lovable, and maybe you're my snowflake."
"How about I run us a bath? I'll put bubbles in it, the way you like it. Neither of us are tired and I think that would put us to sleep." He proposed and I nodded. "A bath would actually be really nice right now. I think my toes are still frozen from the game and it has been over for more than two hours." I joked. We all know how October in Chicago can be. Not fun.

Willson got up, leaving me cold again but I knew I would be warm soon when we got in the bath. Soon enough, he was calling me into the bathroom. Willson got in first and I after him as I sat in between on his lap and rested my head against his shoulder.

"And your eyes turn from green to grey and in the winter I'll hold you in a cold place. And you should never cut your hair, cuz I love the way you flick it off your shoulder."
Willson combed his hands through my hair. I sat up for a second to shake it all off of my shoulder, and then I rested my head back onto his shoulder.

"Don't ever cut your hair." He said to me. "Why? I wasn't planning on it, but why?" I asked. "I like the way you shake it off your shoulder." He told me and I smiled. "Okay, I won't cut my hair."

I snuggled further into Willson, trying to emit some of his body heat onto mine despite being in the very warm water. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Still cold." I shrugged. "I'll always hold you when we're in a cold place, c'mere." He said, wrapping his arms around me causing me to nuzzle my face in his neck.

"So I'll take you to the beach, and walk along the sand, and i'll make you a heart pendant with a pebble in my hand."
"Where do you want to go in the off-season?" He asked me. I wasn't really able to go on many road trips due to my job, so while Willson has been to almost all 50 states, I've only been to about 20.

"California!" I told him and he smiled. "I knew you would pick that. How about we go to LA and then we go to Disneyland for a few days?" He proposed and I immediately agreed.

"We can go to the beach and take nice long walks in the sand." He said and I sighed in content, already thinking about the peacefulness that would come from walking on the beach late at night, the only noise coming from the waves splashing, Willson's hand in mine.

Soon enough, Willson and I got out of the bath and we laid down in our bed after we dried off and got dressed. I laid my head on his chest and he wrapped his arms around me, our legs tangling up.

"I can't wait to marry you." He whispered in my ear, causing me to smile. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep, dreaming about walks on the beach and Mickey pretzels with the love of my life.
