"Ok, Jack, this is my room. Hope you find it comfy," Ffionn said. Jack looked around the room and saw it looked like Stephan's room, just a little more messy. There was a messy stack of papers on Ffionn's desk. Jack figured it was bills or something like that. They were actually something Ffionn had been working on for some time, but he still hadn't finished it. Jack saw a pirate hat and an eye patch on the wall. They were small, meant for someone of about one or two years of age. The eye patch had a pink head in the center. Jack saw a bookshelf filled with many books of different subjects and smiled then hid his smile with a fake cough.
"You ok Jack?" Ffionn asked worriedly.
"Oh, I'm fine," Jack responded, walking over to the bookshelf. Ffionn smiled and walked over after him. "I barely use any of these anymore, except when I'm really bored. You can use them if you want, I don't care."
"Really?" Jack asked, smiling.
"Wow you must really like books. Yes you can use them."
"Where do I sleep?" Jack looked around the room.
"Oh, I have a spare mattress, I'll be right back." Ffionn ran out of the room to grab the mattress. Then an angry looking bear walked in yelling Ffionn's name. He looked at Jack then stopped yelling and looked him up and down.
"I know you, you're the one who almost knocked me out when I was coming out of the bathroom." He grabbed a can of Lysol disinfectant.
"Who are y-" Jack was interrupted by a spray of Lysol in his face. He fell on the floor coughing and rubbing his face and yelling in pain.
"You don't mess with Lysol you ignorant child. I'll do it again longer." He sprayed Jack again then stormed out of the room as Ffionn came in with the mattress.
"LYSOL! WHY ARE YOU SO MEAN TO PEOPLE?" Ffionn yelled.
"THAT KID IS IGNORANT AND SHOULD BE PUT IN JAIL!" Lysol yelled back then left to his room.
"Ow my face," Jack said then broke into a coughing fit.
"Are you alright?" Ffionn asked helping Jack up.
"Yeah. What's his problem?" Jack asked.
"Well ... lets just say he has anger issues," Ffionn said. "Anyways, I got you that mattress, do you mind helping me with it?"
"Oh, yeah sure." Jack grabbed one end of the mattress and helped Ffionn fit it through the door.
"Thank you," Ffionn said.
"No problem," Jack said cheerfully and smiled at Ffionn. He then laid down on the mattress. "Time to catch some Z's."
"Time to what?" Ffionn looked at him confused.
"Oh, it's a saying where I come from, it means time to sleep." Jack looked back at Ffionn confused then shrugged and closed his eyes and fell asleep. Ffionn turned off the light and shut the door quietly as he left to check on Stephan.
Stephan has fallen asleep at his desk. Ffionn had guessed he would've, he had been doing it a lot recently; staying up late working on his projects, living off coffee and a few pieces of bread a day. It concerned Ffionn greatly, but he knew it would be pointless to argue with Stephan. Once Stephan has his mind set on something, that's all he focused on doing.
Other things concerned Ffionn as well, his sister, Marinella, had been fighting with Stephan mire than usual, as had everyone else. Plus, there was the new comer, who he felt he had a responsibility to take care of the kid. Of course he didn't want to worry anyone, so he kept these things to himself, but he was wondering about the day when he would finally break down and spill everything. He tried not to think about that as he headed to the kitchen to read for a while. He didn't want to wake the kid, so he thought he might just stay there all night.
He entered the kitchen to find Lysol just sitting at the table, deep in thought.
"Hello, Ffionn," Lysol said, snapping out of his deep thinking break.
"Hello, Lysol, did I interrupt something?" Ffionn asked.
"Oh, no no no, you're fine, I was just thinking, that's all," Lysol replied. "Anyways, I'm heading off to sleep, today's just been wild, and I need rest."
"Oh, alright. Goodnight, Lysol." Ffionn stepped aside to let Lysol through the door, and sat down at the table. A few minutes later he had fallen asleep, and the house had grown quiet.
