Chapter 12: Going with Your Gut

While Harry was at Ally's place, Zayn was wondering what to do himself. Niall & Louis were each talking with their families via Skype while Liam was watching a movie. 

Then it came to him. Zayn had an idea.

He went to his room & grabbed his iPhone off of his dresser. He then dialed a certain someone's phone number.

That someone was Camila.

As he listened to the phone ring on the other end, Zayn wondered if she would be there. He wanted to be sure of it.

Then it happened. Camila picked up.

"Hello?" she said. "Hi, Cam," said Zayn cheerfully. "Hi, Zayn. How are you?" she asked. "Doing good. I just wanted to ask you something?" said Zayn. "Really? What is it?" asked Camila who was now feeling very uncertain.

There was a reason for her uncertainity.

Ever since she & Zayn had kissed while filming the "We Stand Together" music video, that was all she had been thinking about. Sure, Camila had thought that Zayn was really hot, but for him to kiss her had left her excited yet confused. 

She knew that his breakup with Perrie Edwards had been very painful for him because he had loved Perrie very much & had even wanted to marry her. For her to leave him for a scumbag like Justin Bieber had simply made Camila very angry.

Still, she hoped that Zayn's interest in her was genuine and not an excuse to stick it to Perrie.

"Would you like to go out with me for a coffee or something?" asked a trembling Zayn. Camila thought about it for a bit.

She hadn't been out on a date with anyone ever since she & Austin Mahome had split up. SHe began to feel like maybe this was the right time to date again.

"Sure. I'd love to," Camila said. "How about Panther Coffee?" asked Zayn. "All right. I'll meet you there if that's OK," said Camila. Zayn agreed & then hung up.

As he made his way to Panther Coffee, Zayn felt like he was floating on air. He hadn't felt that way in a long time. He was looking forward to having a great time with Camila on their coffee date.

He hoped that his euphoric feeling would last. he didn't want it ruined.
