Chapter 5: Across The Pond

While Harry was in Miami having fun with Ally, his One Direction bandmates were getting ready for the big move to the city nicknamed the "Magic City".

For Liam Payne, the decision to go to Miami to work was coming with a price. His relationship with Sophia Smith was at a crossroads, & he wasn't sure if it could survive the distance this time around.

Sure, she had dealt with his fame, his group's crazy fans, & his devotion to his career for as long as she could, but somewhere done the line, Sophia had become clingy, needy, & insecure. She also hated the fact that he would be a part of a co-headlining tour with five very beautiful girls that she clearly didn't like.

For Zayn Malik, the move & the upcoming tour was just what he needed after he & Perrie Edwards had broken off their engagement. He needed to get away from everything that reminded him of her.

However, he knew that it wouldn't be easy for him considering that the tabloids were constantly reporting all kinds of stories involving Perrie & the guy she left Zayn for, international pop superstar Justin Bieber.

Still, Zayn felt certain that throwing himself into work would be a good thng for him. He already had the support of his bandmates who were also his best friends.

Louis Tomlinson was just as eager as Zayn to go to Miami. Single for the first time in a long time, the oldest member of One Direction was ready to experience life in a new & exciting way. Sure, he didn't want to get into any trouble, but Louis was ready to see what was out there after being in a long-term relationship with his ex, Eleanor Calder, who was now dating an up-and-coming soccer star who played for Chelsea.

Niall Horan was eager too. He had heard all kinds of things about Miami from friends who had vacationed there, & even though One Direction had performed there many times, he felt that they never really got to experience what Miami was all about. That was what he was most excited about.

So the day after his little get together with Ally at Lemoni Cafe, Harry got on Skype to talk with his band mates from his Miami hotel. As soon as all four answered. the conversation began.

"All right, mates, ready for the big move?" asked Harry. All of them nodded except for Liam, who looked somber.

"Still having problems with Sophia, mate?" asked Harry. "Well.....not anymore," said Liam sadly. "You mean.....?" asked Zayn. "Yeah. We broke up. It's over," said Liam who looked away. Niall patted him on the shoulder.

"I'm sorry, Liam," said Harry. "Not your fault, mate. It's not anyone's fault. Sophia just couldn't take it anymore," said Liam remembering the fight he & Sophia had had the night before that led to them finally ending their relationship.

Louis then decided to change the subject. "What about Fifth Harmony? Do you think we should work with them?" he said. "Ally asked me about that last night. I told her it was up to her & her bandmates," said Harry. "Was she OK with the idea of it, Harry?" asked Niall. Harry nodded.

"Is she going to run it by her band?" asked Zayn. "She told me she was. She said she would talk to them at the studio today," said Harry who then felt his phone vibrate.

"Hold on a minute, guys," he said. He looked at his phone & saw a text from Ally. He then smiled.

"Looks like we'll be working with Fifth Harmony on a song, mates," Harry said smiling. The other four guys high-fived each other.

This was going to be exciting.
