Chapter 20: Austin vs. Camila

After the concert had ended, Austin made his way backstage, thanks to one of his friends working security at the Pepsi Center.

What he saw once he got past the backstage area shocked the hell out of him.

Camila was in Zayn Malik's arms, her lips on his. Austin thought he was going to be sick.

Austin had thought that since he & Camila were both single, he felt that maybe they could give their relationship another chance.

He had had no idea that he had blown his chance with ehr, & that she had moved on with someone else.

It turned out to be not just anyone. It was Zayn Malik of One Direction, someone Austin hated.

Now here was Zayn kissing Camila. Austin decided to do something about what he was seeing.

It would prove to be a foolish decision.

"Hey!! Hands off!" yelled Austin as he tried to pull Camila away from Zayn. Instead, Harry & Niall grabbed Austin & threw him to the ground.

"What the fuck, man??" asked Harry in anger. "Are you out of your bloody mind?" asked Niall. "You can't do that to our friends!" yelled Louis.

Austin looked at all five 1D guys as they looked over him. They all looked like they wanted to kill him especially Zayn.

"What makes you think that it's all right to try & tear me away from my girlfriend?" asked Zayn. "I didn't know you guys were dating!" Austin cried out. Camila just shook her head.

She turned to her friends for advice.

"What should I do?" asked Camila. "Think about it. You love Zayn, right?" asked Lauren. "I do. He's the most wonderful person in the world," said Camila. "Tell Austin that, Cam," said Ally. "Go for it, girl," said Normani. ""You know that we have your back," said Dinah.

Camila then took a deep breath and faced Austin.

"Listen to me, Austin," said Camila. "I love Zayn with all of my heart. I really do. You had your chance, but you blew it when you cheated on me. You need to get over it. We will never be together again. I've moved on, & you should too."

Austin looked at her in horror. She had said things to him that he didn't want to hear but needed to hear.

Deep down, he knew that she was right. He just wasn't ready to admit it.

Still, that wasn't going to stop him from trying to get her to see things his way.

"Please, Camila. I know that I screwed up," said Austin sadly. "But I want another chance. I want to prove to you that I can be the kind of  man that you deserve to have. I can give you more then Malik here can. Please give me that chance."

Both groups just stared at each other. They all knew that Austin must be out of his mind to think that way. He had had several months to prove to Camila that he could be that special person, but he blew it by cheating on her with singer Becky G. 

Zayn just laughed. "Really, man? Are you bloody serious? You can give Camila more then I can?," he said. "I'm sorry, but I have never loved anyone like I love Camila. She has made me a much better man, & I can't thank her enough for that. Deal with it, Mahome. You messed up, & she's moved on."

Austin could feel the tears coming to his eyes. He knew deep down Zayn was right. 

It was truly over. Camila had moved on & was happy. Ausitn simply needed to deal with it.

Just as he was about to stand up, security grabbed Austin and dragged him away. Camila ran into Zayn's arms.

"I love you," she said. "I love you too, baby," said Zayn who then looked into her eyes & smiled at her.

As both groups got into their buses to head off to Minnesota for their next tour stop, both groups felt that the drama was over.

However, they were wrong. There was more just around the corner.
