Past and present of JK has lot many stories, happiness and sorrows that made him a strong man....

JK opened the letter his father had sent him in which he wrote :

Jeeta Re Puttar. Khush Re Mera Baccha.

He had send him cash to buy a gift.

He had joined Law,without his permission. At that time his father had paid 50,000 as fees for Engineering. He went against his father and on the top of that he told his father that by the end of his college, he will repay his money and that was the reason he was slapped hard by him at 17 and that broke his tooth. He worked day and night as an assistant with a senior lawyer and continued with him throughout many years. At the age of 35, he started his own set up. He also took tuitions for Hindi and Sanskrit to school going kids, those days. Infact Mary run a tuition class at her home at that time and that is why he got good number of students and good amount of fees. His mentor lawyer had sponsored his education and did not pay him a salary and just gave him travel allowance.

Jassi would send him cards with red roses on it without fail every year. He opened her card and as usual, she had drawn a heart with Red sketch pen and wrote inside :

I Love you Jai, in cursive letters. He missed her. She got married, when he was in school. She did not have kids at that time . Her mother in law harassed her, but she pretended to be happy. He was lost in her thoughts. She loved to bless him with Pooja ki Thali (ritual as blessing with a plate filled with vermilion, sweets, rice and lamp) on festivals and his birthday. He was missing that gesture.

She was thin and had same height like JK, when they were kids. She would wear his clothes and he gave her whole heartedly. She loved to kiss him, pull his cheeks and do skipping with him. If he cried, she would say :

Kya hua Raja, maat Ro
Ek hein toh Bacha hein Mera. (Don't cry baby).

Tears trickled down and he tried to close his eyes. He could not sleep. He thought of Roshini and munched on his love dairy milk. He did not share it with anyone. He would have shared only with his three year old Rosh but she was in Punjab. He thought,he will ask Papaji to get her to his shop and he will make STD call and do baby talk. He slept at five, holding closely the two cards, Papaji's letter close to his heart and dairy milk wrapper in his hand.

JK was sleeping tight. Sudhir was his alarm clock, those days. He would not wake until Sudhir (Sudhi) had gate crashed into his room, through his gallery. His room was on the ground level. It was a safe time, when there were no fear of theft or crime. JK kept his gallery door open, deliberately for Sudhi to jump in. Sometimes, furry cats from their canteen, jumped inside his room. He loved feeding them milk and biscuits.

Their Dominic College of Law, allocated single occupancy to only hardworking and sincere students. Their room was no less than a Suite room. The room had a beautiful living space. Rich students made that space cozy with a TV and furniture pieces. JK did not have that privilege. He had turned this space into a library of his own.The room had a big photo frame that portrayed his dashing self and a dressing table that college had provided.
