Chapter 47: Jolly go fellow

The cool breeze and the beauties of nature made JK happy and he forgot about the bad dream and the fears of life, he had about his future. He saw a yellow flower and butterfly on it. He was spiritual and always felt close with God. He saw a beautiful Ram mandir and the place was decorated with balloons. He went inside the temple and prayed. He chanted Hanuman chalisa for 101 times and prayed for his friends and family. He made special prayers for Roshini and Ann. They were celebrating their birthday on the same day. He prayed for Aashiya, as Bhabhi always fell ill. Janet, Pinky, Sammy, Mary and Sudhi were precious to him and he prayed for their well-being and long life. He prayed to get good grades in his exams. For Papaji he prayed prosperity and mischievously he prayed:

Meri Rani ko akal de do aur Usko thandi dimag do. ( Let my angry mother stay cool)
DD ko bachha de do ( Jassi be blessed with a baby, she did not have kids, though she was married for six years)

He put a ten rupees note in the offering box, moved hands on the Aarti, and placed his palm on face and head. He poped the sheera Prasad like a hungry baby and bowed down to the feet of Maharaj. He was blessed Khush Raho!!!

He was hungry and went to grab a strawberry pastry from their favorite Cream Dream bakery. He also ordered Complan Shake.

He saw foreigners sat infront of him in a group and they were discussing the beaches and major attractions of Goa. JK ate the pastry and someone forcefully took the glass of his shake and drank it in a go, without leaving a drop. JK baby was angry but he had just visited a temple made him calm.

Sudhi: Ki hoya (what happened)

JK : Kuch nahi ( Nothing)

Sudhi ordered lemon tea for JK and said:

Tu yeh pi bimaar admi and healthy Ho jaa, Mera pagla baby. (You drink this sick man and stay healthy)

He touched his forehead and was happy that his baby was fine.

JK hugged him and said :

Sorry Sudhi... I lub u

Sudhi: I enjoyed last night. Jack Daniels pe ke fit hoke sogaya. (Drank brandy and slept). Chal ek round marke athe hein. (Let us take a round and come)

He had hired a cycle and JK sat in front, while Sudhi peddled. Like Jassi Didi, JK made a dialogue :

Ek hi toh dost hein Mera ( You are my one and only friend)

Sudhi: I don't want Maska butter.

JK : What you want? Daaru Shaaru

Sudhi: Sssh!!! today is dry day.

They went to the market and Sudhi bought all vegetables right from potatoes, tomatoes, brinjals, ladies fingers and pumpkin.

He called Mary: Anything else you want from the list that you gave me?

OK will get dopli mirchi. He hung up

JK giggled at new word but he guessed it was his favorite Capsicum.

He made a face and asked his friend to go inside the other lane for searching Capsi

He slowly entered the PCO and dialled Papaji's shop number...

Nilu received the call: Good morning Dream wear...

JK : Jai Shree Krishna Blue Bhaiya (DD called him so in English...Nilu means Blue)
Nilu : Oye hero
ME have no time shime
Papa Angry
Lot many peoples
ONE minute
Good news

JK : Bhaiya Bhabhi giv giving Baby new one ...

Nilu: No dunkey,we get new phone at home and you call there in Evening and talk to to my light lightning Roshini. Take number and me hanging... Good bye Papa angry.

Nilu spoke wrong English but JK appreciated and encouraged him and Jassi tried to improve his language. JK was excited about new phone at home.

He saw a bangle and lipstick powder shop.He bought 5 dozen multi colored bangles and a box of nail polish. He bought two sets of kada bangles with jewels. Jujjips and jelly for Ann and Snowy. He waited for Sudhi... They went to Mary Villa cycling for 15 min and JK sang:

Suhana Safar
Aur yeah mausam hassi
Humhe dar hein
Hum ko na jaye kahi

Some foreigners passing by waved at JK and he waved at them with a smile.
