🗡Archer's P.O.V🗡

How long will I take to bring her to the castle? Hopefully not that long, they'll be expecting her to remember.

I watched as she moved the window with Jake in her arms. She walked gracefully, almost as if she was born walking that way. She would do greatly in a castle, she just doesn't want to admit it. But I understand how she doesn't like the palace.

Walking over to her, I asked," I was asking how you calmed him down."

"I know that. I just wanted to mess with you," she said grinning. "Fortunately, it worked. I didn't expect you to be like Ezekiel."

I could see the smile on her face, even from standing behind her. She looked out the window, the moon now peaking its way out the clouds in the night sky. Have we been this long?

"I sang a song my mother sang to me. I didn't know it would actually work though, to be honest."

"Not exactly song type though," I said admittedly.

"But it still put me to sleep, didn't it? That's why it's so special." I heard Jake coo. "Archer look," she said. I walked closer to her, leaning over her shoulder and almost touching her. She smells like roses, I thought.

Jake was reaching his little hand out to her. I saw that she smiled at him and he immediately smiled an adorable smile at her.

I smiled. I've loved kids since the beginning, especially babes. I got that from my mother who adored children. She taught us everything we know instead of having others teach us anything. That's why I lived her dearly.

Jake suddenly reached his hand out toward me. "Look who's got a change of heart," she said in a babyish way. Amabel turned her head to look at me.

When our eyes met it was like they glued together.

We stared at each other and I now noticed the red in her dark brown eyes. It was like a streak of red, almost beautiful. Our faces were so close to each other that if we leaned a few inches we could probably . . . No, stop thinking like that Archer.

Out of nowhere, Jake laughed.

He then pointed out his two hands at each if us and put them back together in ball fist. Amabel turned away, a blush now beginning to appear on her cheeks.

It was awkward for a moment, having that thing happen.

"Amabel!"

We turned our heads toward the door and Ezekiel popped his head. In a funny way, if I might add.

We got out of our trance and she replied, "what?"

"Well, I might've done something to the food on the table and there might not be any for everyone." She clenched her jaw. "What did you do Ezekiel?"

"Huhuhuhu," he said nervously to her before running. "Here," she told me, " I'll be right back in a second." She put Jake in my arms carefully before running off rapidly and smoothly.

******

Just seconds after hearing a girl scream and the clatter of pans, Amabel returned like nothing had happened.

She put Jake to sleep and then walked off to the kitchen without a word. I followed after her, not knowing where I belonged in this whole situation.

I watched as she started to pull out ingredients for food.

"You cook?"

"What else do you think I do with a house full of skilled brothers and parents?"

"I don't know, maybe just 'chillax' because your whole family's talented and everything," I said as sarcastically as I could.

She looked at me with this look that I could not describe.

"You don't think that would just sit around home, now do you?"

"No, I honestly don't after meeting you and all." She reached out for carrots when I got them from her.

"I cook too."

She searched my face. "Really? Prove it."

"Don't mind if I do," I said back.

Hey guys. I hope you liked this chapter cause this will be like the only better one, but I at least tried. Remember I don't update daily sometimes. I'm sorry.
What'd you think if this last part? Good? Bad? Average? I wasn't really sure of what to write because the most important parts are more later in the story. Sorry. It'll be great though. Hopefully.
