💦Archer's P.O.V💦
"That was amazing," I said stunningly and flirty.
"Have you been watching me the entire time?" I nodded. "Yep," I replied, waiting for a reaction. She looked at me with different emotions showing on her face. Embarrassment replacing all of them.
"Come on don't be embarrassed. I was flattering you by the way."
"Of course you were," she said under her breath, not knowing I have keen hearing that was passed down from my ancestors.
"Well, it looks like we must set the table now," Amabel said.
"Yep."
We got the food on the plates and even made a lemonade-cucumber drink. When we finished we stepped back to admire our piece of work. "You did well," Amabel told me when she faced in my direction," For a prince," she added with a grin.
I shaked my head. "So did you," I said avoiding her obvious remark. "What do we do now?" She shrugged.
"I don't know. We've already finished setting up the table and all, and the others are still coddling Kim." Something caught my eye. The smell and sight was unmistakable.
"Is that melon?"
"Yes, why?"
"Nothing," I said stepping further from the table and towards the nearest door. Amabel noticed and smirked adorably. What are you thinking Archer?
"You don't like melon, do you?"
I said nothing and that must've hinted it or else she's good at finding out things.
"You're afraid of melon, aren't you?" I shook my head. Maybe too much. "No, I am not." Amabel reached for a melon she still hasn't peeled. Yet. "Prove it," she said.
"No."
"Do it."
"No."
"Do it."
"No!"
"Do it!'
"No!"
"Fine then." She strangely walked past with the melon still in her hand. I turned around, not knowing what to expect. After I saw her enter Jake's room, I turned toward the now prepared table.
"Think fast," I heard from behind me.
Amabel had a ball-shaped thing that was wrapped in a cloth in her hand. Having quick reflexes thanks to my sisters, I immediately caught it not knowing what it was.
I looked up and Amabel was leaning on the door frame, folded arms and a wicked grin on her face. I looked back down to the object in my hand. I silently unwrapped it and low and behold I saw the most feared. Quickly, I tossed - more like threw - it at Amabel. She caught it with one hand effortlessly, the object almost hitting her face.
Realizing what I had done, I said," I didn't mean to, I'm sorry, sorry . . . "
She apparently didn't take that in and looked mad. I walked away and planned to run to the large living room when she also started to run after me.
She's so fast.
When we got there, I felt a pressure of weight on my back and the next thing I knew I was on the floor face down. The pain I felt was unimaginable. I soon felt my head rise and my hair was being pulled up.
"Don't throw a melon at me next time or I will hurt you," she said.
"This wasn't you hurting me!?"
"Why does everyone say that!?"
"Because it's true!"
"I at least don't give you all of it!"
"All of it!"
"Stop being such a cry baby, princeling."
"Says the one who gave me a melon!"
"Says the one who's is afraid of them!"
"I at least don't beat up guys for fun."
"It's not for fun."
"Sure."
"I at least make good meals."
"I can cook!"
"You beating up your new friend, Am?" Ezekiel and Nico entered the room, not caring that Amabel was on top of me.
"He's not my friend," Amabel said. She got off my back, giving me some more air to breath. I sat up and stayed there on the floor.
"That's not how today's been," I said smirking, looking at Amabel.
She rolled her eyes.
"Dinner's ready, by the way, and don't touch the unpeeled melon on the table. It's nasty now," she added with a smirk.
What is it with us smirking? Is it our thing now that we're friends?
"Okay then, let's eat."
