Fatal Flaws

Percy opened his eyes and screamed. He fell of the bed and curled into a ball, crying. What on earth happened to this kid? He's so broken, so unfixable. I looked at Thor, he nodded.

'Persues?' Percy gasped and scrambled away from Thor. Thalia and Nico stepped up and wrapped Percy in a hug.Percy cried on their shoulders. Thalia ran her hand through Percy's hair and Nico drew delicate circles on Percy's back. He stopped crying and slumped foward, snoring peacefully. 

'Wow, I haven't done that in a while' Nico said, stretching his fingers. We laied Percy on the bed. Thalia wiped Percy's tears, that still cascaded down his cheek. 

I didn't know this silence could be so quiet. Why couldn't we just step up and support Percy?

' The next time Percy has a flashback or a nightmare we need to monitor him. Tony you know that new project you've been working on?' Bruce said.

'Yeah' 

'We need to use that on him'  Tony nodded. 

'Guys, haven't you noticed Percy doesn't trust us yet? He treats Thalia and Nico like they're his siblings' Natasha said, tapping her chin. 

Come to think of it, he has been talking more causually to Thals and Nico. 

'Yeah, I have' I said, looking down. 

'How did you gain his trust?' Tony asked, to Thalia and Nico. They looked up from Percy like they hadn't realise that we were talking. 

'Oh,  it took time. Me and Percy went on a quest. He saved my life a couple of times. It was fun when we battled to the death but then the oracle interupted. Seriously, I thought Percy was going to kill me. I've always treated Percy like a brother. Luke used to be my brother but then he joined the wrong side. Jason he was my lost long brother. He died in the Giant war' Thalia wiped of a tear. 

Wait, Giant War?

' Um... it sorta took longer for me though. I blamed him for my sister's death. Then ran away. Then in the second war- I kinda captured him so that my Dad, Hades, could tell me about my mother. But then when I was kidnapped by giants, Percy saved me. So I trusted him. Thor, do you know about Percy's fatal flaw?' 

Thor got out of his shock, and nodded. Thalia made a gesture that said 'explain'

' Most demi-gods fatal flaw is pride. A fatal flaw is when you could die because of it- or cause other people to die because of it. Percy's fatal flaw is Personal loyalty.He would die to save his friends. He would be tortured again to save a life. Percy would fight to the death to save his friends. That's why he's the most greatest Demi-god there is. He has a caring heart' He paused, 'that could get  him killed' 

We were left speechless. How could Percy do that?

'What's your fatal flaw then?' Natasha asked. 

'Power' Thalia said. 

'Holding grudges' Nico said.  

' That's it! I have decided that we need to be a closer family to Percy. We need to hang out with him, eat with him... and help him' Tony said. We nodded in agreement. 

' Nico, Thalia can I ask you a question?' I asked. 

' You already have, but yeah' 

' A few days ago, Percy locked himself in his room, shut down the camera footage in his room.. then we heard screams and when we went in when Percy was sleeping we saw blood. Any idea what happened?' I explained, eyeing them carefully to see their reactions. 

They looked at each other and looked like they were having a mental consevation. 

'One word' Thalia said.

'Gaia...' Nico said. 

Then they both swirled into shadows and an eerie silence...
