Percy POV

I gazed down the gloomy chambers of The Cliffs. I was making the right desicions.. right? I could end it all with one single step. Just one step to end all the pain. To end all the misery.

It would be so easy to let go without any pain. Without any torture.

I might see Annabeth in Eslyum. And Jason. And... everyone.

Darkness was radiating of the emptiness that was rotting at the bottom. If there was any...

'Percy!' I spun around.

Nico.

And Thalia.

And the Avengers.

And Dad.

Why couldn't I just end it all? Without anyone interfering.

'Percy! Stop, son' Posideon said. Stepping foward.

'Don't move! ' I said, inching foward to the edge.

'Percy, please don't' Nico said,' You're nearly the only family left' I could see tears brimming his dark eyes.

' Why can't I? I could be with them. I could end all the pain in one step' I said. The Avengers tightened their grips oon their weopons. I saw a tear leak Thalia's eyes.

'So you're gonna leave me? Like the rest did?! I can't beilieve I trusted you! Artemis was right, All boys are jerks!' I'll admit that hurt. A lot. Thalia was about to storm off when Nico tightened his grip on her wrist.

He narrowed his eyes on me.

'Remember what Annabeth said? Don't grieve over them. You're doing that right now!' Nico said.

I stared at him dumbfounded.

'How- How did you know?' I said, the wind's strenghth was growing.

' I doesn't take a genius, Percy' Thalia said.

'Percy, please... Don't take that step' Dad pleaded.

'What's from stopping me from taking it? I could cut of all the strings to this hell. Don't need to be tortured again. And again. And again' I replied.

' Percy, you can't leave your duty!' Steve spoke up, ' You're Warrior. Part of Saviours! But right now, you're a coward'.

I was about to retort back. When a howl echoed through the winds. Like it was calling for me.

Pain flooded my back, it was so, so blood-renchingly painful. The most painful experience I've had. Well physically. My back was arched, and I fell to the ground, shivering until I couldn't breathe.

Maybe the fates we're being kind to me.

Maybe not.....
