Imagine: You help Bill with his stutter, to only find out the reason why his stutter gets worse when you're there.

Y/n's POV

I sat in history class, hoping the bell would ring so I could go home. Sadly, we had a little while.

Right now, we were reading a book out loud. Our teaching was calling on random people to read, so you had no choice.

The teacher called on Bill Denbrough, which caused him to go wide-eyed. He looked down at the book and began to read.

"T-the war o-o-of 1812 w-w-w-was a con-conflict fough-t betw-tw-tween the U-United States, t-t-the United K-Kingdom, a-and their respect..r-respecti..respective-" "I think that's enough Bill." The teacher cut him off.

Bill looked down sadly and a few kids snickered at him. I gave him a sad glance, and turned back my attention to the book.

I feel really bad for him, I mean, it's really hard for him to speak in class. I think I should-

RING

My thoughts were cut off by the bell. Everyone ran out of the classroom, except Bill and I. He packed up his stuff slowly and so did I. When he was about to leave, I ran up to him.

"Hey Bill. I was wondering if you wanted to come with me to the library. I wanted to help you out, with...your stutter." I smiled.

"O-oh sure Y-Y/n. But y-you don't r-r-really have t-to help m-me." Bill said.

"No, it's ok Bill. I don't mind. I think helping you would allow us to get to know each other better. You seem like a nice guy." I admitted.

Bill looked down and blushed. "O-Ok. You s-seem like a-a nice g-guy t-too-I-I mean g-girl." Bill stuttered.

"Cool, meet me outside when you're done." I waved while walking towards my locker..

(Time Skip)

Bill and I sat down at one of the tables in the library. I took out one of my books. "Ok Bill, lets start with the first chapter. This book is about two teenagers falling in love." I smiled handing him the book.

"O-Oh, I-I-I've r-r-read this b-before." Bill said opening the book. "Really? You have? I found it in the teen romance section a few weeks ago." I laughed. "I-I w-w-was b-bored." Bill shrugged.

"Ok back to the book. Try reading the first sentence without stuttering." I instructed.

"T-T-T-T-The w-wind bl-blew hars-harshly a-and th-th-th..I c-can't d-do this." Bill sighed shutting the book hardly and leaning back in his chair.

"Don't give up Bill. You can do it." I encouraged. "O-Ok. I-I-I-I'll try." Bill agreed while talking the book and opening it again.

This continued on for quite some time, until it was getting dark. Eventually, Bill's stutter has gotten better, and so has his reading. Bill and I packed up our stuff and headed out.

"I'm really proud of you Bill." I smiled. "T-Thank you. You r-really helped me with my s-stutter. I feel really confident n-now." He smiled back.

"At least now you won't have trouble reading in class." I pointed out. "That's true. Before you g-go, I wanted t-to tell you that before today, my stutter got w-worse around y-you." Bill admitted while starring at me.

"Why's that?" I asked, curious now. "I-It's because I r-really like you Y/n." He blushed. "Aw, I like you too." I smiled.

"Want me t-to walks you home?" He asked while putting his hand out. "Of course." I agreed while taking his hand and walking towards my house.

At least now, history class won't be so boring.

A/n: Thanks so much for 1K reads! It means a lot! Also, I might upload a Dustin x reader book. I'm not sure if I shouldn't, and just do my Wyatt x reader book. Thoughts?
