Imagine: After hearing you play, Finn can't help but think you're amazing.

My best friend Sophia used to be really close with Finn and his friends. Now they just talk occasionally. I'm with Sophia 24/7, and I can't help but blush every time she sees him at starts talking.

Sophia is the person who just talks to anyone if she has the time. I gets quite annoying sometimes, but it's not that big of a deal. I actually started becoming friends with one of Finn's friends, Jaeden.

Jaeden was super sweet, and he always knew what to say. I didn't have many friends beside Sophia when I met Jaeden. He's anything I could ask for in a friend.

I sat in music class, my guitar in hand. (I don't know about you, but in my school we learn the guitar in music class) Our teacher was explaining our guitar test that we have next week. "I'm giving you 4 class periods to practice a song you want to play," our teacher said.

Once she finished explaining, she let us to do whatever. I went onto my laptop and searched for a song in my song book. I have a guitar at home and I always play. I write a few songs, but mostly just sing covers. From what I've heard during lessons, I'm the pretty much the best at playing. Except for Finn, of course.

Jaeden told me Finn was in a band with some kids from another school. They practice sometimes but they don't really play out in the open. I've always wondered what they sounded like.

As I was playing, I couldn't help but look over at Finn, who was across the room. He was focused on his guitar. Unlike me, who strums chords, Finn plucks them. His style of playing is way different than mine. It makes me think is we would sound good together.

Jaeden was also in this class. He made the bold decision to sit with me instead of Finn. I was quiet spoken, so I sat at a table in the corner. Finn would look over at us occasionally, but mostly looking at me. I noticed sometimes, but just ignored it.

(the next week)

Today was the day I present the song I've been practicing. Our teacher decided instead of just playing for her, we would have to play for the whole class. She though it would be more "fun".

Next up, Finn," she said. Finn slowly walked up with his guitar and sat on a stool in front of the classroom.

"Um...I'm going to be playing a song my friends and I wrote. This one's called Greyhound," Finn said.  (song is at the top if you don't know what it is already)

I watched Finn play his guitar while singing the lyrics. He played and sounded really good. I started to get nervous for when I had to sing. As Finn sang some of the lyrics, he looked at me. I blushed and looked away. Jaeden saw me and started to smirk. I rolled my eyes at him. He thinks I like Finn, which I do, but I wasn't going to tell him that.

"That was nice, Finn. Next up, Y/n," our teacher smiled. Jaeden gave a little clap as I walked up. I sat on the stool and looked around the class.

"H-Hi, I'll be playing a cover of Another One of Those Days, by Cavetown," I said. (If you haven't heard that song, I put the link here)

I started to play and sing the verses. My teacher seemed to enjoy it so far.

"Passed that kid in chemistry, who made fun of my name. He didn't look very happy. I guess we all turn out the same. I saw a boy in my dreams. He kissed me on the face. I guess it's just another one of those days, when I'm missing everything,"

I sang while occasionally looking at Finn. Finn started at me the whole time, a small smile on his face. I finished the song and earned a few claps. I sat back down next to Jaeden. "Y/n, that was really good! Did you see Finn staring at you?" Jaeden teased quietly.

"Shut up," I said back jokingly.

Once class ended, I went to my locker to pick up my stuff for last period. As I was closing my locker, I heard someone clear their throat from behind me. I turned around to see Finn.

"H-Hey, Finn," I stuttered.

"Hey, y/n. I just wanted to say you were amazing in class today," Finn smiled.

"Oh, thanks. You were really good as well. I loved the song," I complemented.

"Thanks...hey, would you want to meet my friends after school today? I think you'd really like them. Maybe we could all play sometime?" Finn asked.

"I would love that! Here's my number," I said before writing my number on a piece of paper from my notebook.

"Thanks, I'll call you," Finn said while walking towards his class.
