Imagine : Richie won't get out of the hammock when it's your turn.
I followed Bev down the ladder of the clubhouse, with the rest of my friends behind me. I looked around, astonished. How was Ben able to do something like this? "What the dick is this?" Richie asked, "How'd you build it?"
"When did you build it?" Bill followed.
"Here and there, I guess," Ben smiled proudly. "It was already dug out from something. So all i had to do was add some reinforcement, get some wood..." I put my hand on one of the beams, and immediately a piece of the 'roof' fell down.
"Now that's a cool feature. What happen when you put your hand on the other pillar professor," Richie smirked at me.
"Beep Beep, trashmouth," I scoffed.
"This is exactly why there are safety rules, why we have permits. This place is a death trap, you understand that?" Eddie freaked.
"It's a work in progress, alright Eddie?" said Ben.
"Just so you know, if I get hurt, you're responsible...and also what is this? A switch of the iron maiden?" Eddie asked, pointing to an old switch hanging from the ceiling.
"That's...that's a flashlight."
"And what is that, a horse hinge? Oh wait, this is cool," Eddie said quickly, picking up one of those paddle ball toys.
"That was like three dollars so be careful with that, please," said Ben.
"I have one of these. Hey y/n, hey Stan, you see this?" Eddie smiles, wacking it into our faces.
"Can you stop that?" I asked, covering my face with my hands.
"Yeah, Eds, leave her alone," Richie said, walking up behind Eddie and hitting him.
"What the hell was that for?" Eddie asked.
(the next day)
"What the fuck is this?" Richie asked, taking the shower cap from Stan's hand.
"So you don't get spiders stuck in your hair when you're down here," Stan smiled.
"Stanley, we're not afraid of fucking spiders," Richie rolled his eyes as he threw it to the ground. Stan sighed and walked away from him, revealing all of us with the same flower patterned shower caps on our head. Eddie took his off in embarrassment. "I stand corrected," said Richie.
"That's a first," Bev laughed.
"Touché," Richie sighed, going back to his comic book.
"Hey, Rich, your ten minutes are up," Eddie reminded Richie, who was lying down comfortably in the hammock.
"What are you talking about?"
"The hammock, ten minutes each. That was the rule. It's y/n's turn," Eddie informed.
"I don't see a sign," Richie shrugged.
"Eddie it's ok-"
"Are you being this way, right now? No no no no no. Why would there be a sign if it was a verbal agreement? We all agreed on the fucking rule!" Eddie shouted, before trying to flip Richie over and out of the hammock. But he failed, and Richie remained seated. I walked up towards the two, putting on my hand on Eddie's shoulder.
"Eddie, it's okay. I'll use it tomorrow," I smiled.
"Fine, but next time, I'll get you out of that damn hammock," Eddie growled.
"You can try," Richie smirked as Eddie walked away.
"Good going Rich, now Eddie is upset," I frowned.
"So?" Richie shrugged. "If you don't want to wait till tomorrow, why don't you just come sit with me?" he smirked.
"No, I couldn't.."
"Come on, y/n, go ahead," Bev smiled from behind me. I turned back to Richie and sighed. Bev knows I have a huge crush on Richie, which i'm not to fond of.
"...fine, whatever," I sighed, getting into the hammock on the opposite side of him.
"You sure you don't want to lay next to him?" Bev teased. I looked over at Richie, who was staring at me with a small smile. I rolled my eyes and stayed where I was, pulling out a random comic I was holding before. The rest of the day, Bev didn't tease me, knowing I was uncomfortable anyway.
(time skip)
The losers club and I stayed in the clubhouse all day till curfew. Eddie was the first to leave, obviously, not wanting his mom to get angry. Then Stan, then Bill, then Mike, and etcetera. Bev, Richie, and I were remaining after a few minutes. Richie and I still were in the hammock, waiting for the other to get out first. "Are you guys coming?" Bev asked us. Richie and I looked at each other before turning back to Bev.
"One sec, we'll meet you outside," Richie said. Bev just shrugged and continued up the ladder.
"So...what's up?" I asked awkwardly.
"I...I just wanted to talk to you, alone."
"Rich, we literally had all day. I've been sitting in this hammock for over 3 hours," I huffed.
"I know, but we weren't alone, alone," said Richie, sitting up.
"Ok...was there something you needed to tell me?" I asked.
"Yeah...I was wondering if you wanted to come back here with me tomorrow, before we go to the quarry with everyone," he said.
"Um..sure, yeah, of course. I'll meet you here at 8," I agreed.
"Ok, cool," Richie smiled.
(the next day at 8)
"Richie? Are you down here?" I called, as I stepped off the ladder.
"Yeah, I'm over here," I heard, as I made my way towards the back of the clubhouse.
"What was it that you wanted to talk about?" I asked as I approached him.
"Ok, don't hate me, but I need to confess something."
"I could never hate you, Rich," I smiled.
"Remember yesterday, when Bev told you to sit next to me?" Richie asked.
"Yeah...?"
"Well, I kind of wish you did," he admitted.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know. But i'll make it up you I promise," I smiled, before walking towards him and kissing his cheek.
a/n : hi i hate this hehe
