Imagine: You go to your school's football game, and end up with a surprise waiting for you.
I hopped off my bike with my friend Kevin behind me. I walked over with the crowd towards the football field. "Do you think we're going to win?" Kevin asks. "I honestly don't care.." I reply.
We both payed for a ticket and walked in. Only the dedicated students with school spirit sit in the bleachers. Everyone else just stands around the field and hangs out on the grass.
The Derry High team was just announced and I cheered sarcastically. I'm not much for these things, because sports aren't my forte. But, Kevin made me come because he says 'I should go out more often'. (ok BIG m00d)
We walked in over to a slightly deserted part of the property. "Ew the Bowers Gang is here." Kevin complained. "Well, they go to our school, don't they?" I replied. "I know that but-look! There's Beverly! Let's go say hi!" He exclaimed running over to her. "Eww socializing." I mumbled following Kevin.
We were friendly with Bev, but we weren't best friends. "Hey guys!" Bev exclaimed. "Hey! Y/n and I were wondering if you wanted to hang out with us." Kevin said nudging me. "uhh-yeah!" I said glarring at Kevin.
"Oh I was actually going to go hang out with Ben, but you could come with me." She offered. "Sure, more the merrier." Kevin smiled taking my hand and following Bev over to a crowd of people.
As we got closer, I realized who was in the crowd of people..the losers club. They aren't the most popular people, but they aren't total losers. Which is confusing because the call themselves losers. But the things is I have a certain crush on a trashmouth, and I hate talking to people I like. It just gets all awkward, which is probably why I'm still single.
"On second thought we were going to go get some food, well talk to you later." I said to Bev pushing Kevin away from the crowd. "What was that for?" Kevin asked stopping.
"Richie's over there and I don't want to talk to him." I replied nervously looking around. "You still like him? Y/n it's been 4 years, you have to talk to him if you ever want a chance with him." Kevin explained. "I know but, I get all awkward a-and I'll mess up! Hell never like me if I'm weird." I sighed.
"Its ok Y/n, maybe by the end of the night you'll talk to him. I think you just need a little push." Kevin said. "What kind of pu-ahhh!" I was cut off by a push and I fell backwards. I thought I was going to hit the ground, until I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist.
"Falling for me already, huh?" I heard a voice say. Immediately I knew who it was. "N-Not necessarily." I said looking around when I noticed Kevin was no where you be seen. "Are you sure? You fell pretty hard." Richie smirked.
"Oh look at the time! I got to go! Bye!" I exclaimed quickly and ran in the other direction, hoping Richie wouldn't follow me. I kept running until I saw Kevin and my other friend Ashley. "So, are you guys dating?" Kevin asked.
"What! No! Why did you push me! That was NOT necessary." I exclaimed. "Kevin told me you still like Richie." Ashley said nudging me. "Ugh, you guys can be so annoying sometimes." I sighed.
We continued to talk until the game was almost over. Luckily, I haven't seen Richie since that incident, so I think I should be good.
(Time Skip)
It is now currently raining and my bike's tires had popped, so now I'm stuck in the rain with no transportation. When things couldn't get any worse, a car pulled up behind me as I was walking my bike down towards the direction of my house.
I looked at the car to see two people sitting in the front starring at me. I started walking faster, not wanting to talk to who was in the car.
I guess I wasn't fast enough because the car pulled up right next to me. The window rolled down and then I saw Richie in front of the wheel with his friend Eddie beside him.
"What happened to your bike?" Richie asked. "The tires popped. Are you sure you should be driving? I saw you going wild like you were drunk earlier." I asked. "Oh, so now suddenly you care about me? And you were watching me too? Since when?" Richie smirked while Eddie just rolled his eyes and looked out his window.
"Since never. And I don't care about you, fyi." I stated and then started waking again. "Woah woah woah, don't you want a ride?" Richie asked. "No thanks." I stated. "No, seriously, do you want a ride?" He asked again.
"Are you going to keep asking me until I say yes?" I questioned. "Maybe..." Richie admitted. "Fine." I grumbled putting my bike in the trunk and opening the door to the back seat. "No no, you sit up front with me, Eddie move." Richie said. "Ugh." Eddie sighed getting up and moving to the back seat while I take his place next to Richie.
"So what are y-" "Just drive." I cut him off, obviously not wanting to be there. He's going to hate me if I act all awkward, so I'm just going to play it cool.
Richie started driving until we reached Eddie's house first. He got out and Richie started driving again.
"So tell me, why did you fall?" He asked still looking at the road. "I fell because my friend Kevin pushed me." I replied thinking about how angry I was. "Why did he do that?" Richie said looking at me now. "No reason." I said not wanting to tell Richie the actual reason.
"Ok seems fair....so, what are you doing next Saturday?" Richie asked. "I don't think I'm doing anything." I stated. "Would you want to go to the movies with me?" He asked.
"Are you asking me out? On a date?" I stared in disbelief. My crush is actually asking me out. "Uhhh yeah, I am." He smiled. "Oh well then uhh...sure. I'll go on a date with you." I agreed trying not to blush my face off. "Yes!" I heard Richie mumble. I started to laugh a little and so did Richie.
Maybe I did need that little push.
A/n EW I hate this :( I'll be doing the requests I got soon! Stay tuned!
