I knew just by seeing them together that it was time to step it up. Jake was not going to be happy, I mean what husband would be with his wife being brainwashed by his so called best friend.
As I walk out of the building, I spot Jake leaning on the wall.
"So?" He asks.
"She doesnt remember a thing. Alastair set up a fake note and mental breakdown making her come here. He kissed her Sir, I believe he will be going to escape the country with her, Sir." I inform Jake.
He growls. "That asshole. Get him to tell you where he is going, my guess is he will be taking her to the gangs headquarters."
Taking out my recording device, I hand it to him. "It has a location as to where he is going. For a gangleader, he is very slack."
Jake chuckles and he smirks "That's because, your brother is a dead beat. He only got the gang on default, you would be a much stronger leader."
Brushing it off, I shrug. "I can't, adopted, remember?"
"It doesn't matter. You are his son even if it's only on paper. I better go, talk soon Levi." Jake straightens his jacket and blends into the crowd.
Walking over to my car, I unlock it to find a note on it.
Levi,
I tried calling and texting but you never replied to me. Please ring me, I love you, I'm so so sorry baby... I went to the doctors and I'm pregant with your baby. It couldnt be his because I am three months pregnant.
Love,
MikaI crumble the note and toss it on the sidewalk. Fuckin Mika. Always trying to win me back, cheating whore.
Driving home took an hour with the traffic, it was quiet out here, unlike the city. I could get away and not give a damn. Well that was until I saw the car sitting in my driveway.
Getting out of my car, I ignore the car and walk to my front door.
"Levi, please baby. I am so sorry, i need you." Mika says from behind me.
I chuckle. "Bullshit, I bet your still with him and planning on making me believe the baby is mine to get money from me. It's not happening Mika. If that child infact mine, I will be taking full custody with no visitation allowed."
Mika's jaw drops "You can't do that! It's my baby, mine!"
"Yes, but with your track record with your son, who are they going to believe the druggie who never got clean or the father with the clean record." I shrug and open my front door.
"Have a nice day Mika and next time. I will call the cops."
