Chapter 16

Bruce's POV

 Liz and I are back at Stark Tower celebrating with a nice, relaxing dinner just the two of us. Everyone else is either out or doing their own thing somewhere else in the tower. This is pretty rare but we're enjoying having some time alone together. We're going to break our news about our amazing win tomorrow to everyone. 

   So I did yet another dorky thing... I dimmed the lights in the kitchen and lit a few candles. I'm die hard romantic but do my best to control myself and not come off too strong if you know what I mean. Liz loves it though. She kissed me multiple times and told me how sweet I am, which the end result was me blushing like crazy and hiding my face in my hands so she wouldn't be able to see it so clearly. 

     For dinner, we're having some red wine, roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, and fruit. It's quite an assortment. All of it was store bought since Liz hasn't had the time to cook a big meal all week (sad face because her cooking is the best I've ever had in my life). The food is delicious and the wine is superb. We fell like we're in seventh heaven right now. I smile at Liz. "Liz, can I ask you something?" She nods with a smile. "I was wondering... can we do it tonight?" She looks at me in confusion for a moment. "It? Do you mean have sex?" I blush. "Y-Yes." She frowns a bit. "Bruce, you told me yourself that we shouldn't risk it in case Hulk makes an appearance."

    I sigh. "I know but I really want to do this. I want to try it just once. If we can't ever do it again, at least I can live the rest of my life knowing what the experience was like. Life is about taking risks Liz. If I don't try at least once, I'll regret it." She looks at me hesitantly. "Fine. We can try ONCE. I'm going easy on you though. We're going to take a lot of precautions." I nod with a smile. "Whatever you want Liz." She rolls her eyes playfully and finishes eating her food along with downing another glass of wine. After we're both done, we clean up our mess before heading into my bedroom. 

     She grins at me. "The color scheme in here is quite fitting." I grin back. "Thank you. Tony repainted it just for that specific reason. You know him, he's a man who goes all out for everything he does." She giggles. "You're certainly right." We stare at each other lovingly for a moment before stripping each other of our clothes and attempting to have sex. I brought a condom for protection of course. I'm not that idiot who has unprotected sex. 

      We both take it slow but it seems to be going pretty well. Our bodies connect in a way that I've never felt before, but it's amazing. The chemistry is one hundred percent there. We intertwine in many positions I won't get into. I'll even admit a few moans slipped out. The end result was the sex was amazing and Hulk didn't make an appearance due to the fact that we kept it slow. My heart is racing quite a bit but not enough to be concerning. Liz leans her head on my shoulder. "Bruce, that was amazing. Thank you so much. You're just as great in bed as you are in every other venue."

     I chuckle and kiss her on the forehead. "I think Hulk released how big of a deal this was for me and since he's also very fond of you, he let me have the spotlight tonight. Thanks big guy." I can him mutter "You're Welcome" in my mind. I smile and kiss Liz on the lips once more before the two of us decide to take a shower together to clean up before getting ready for bed. This has been yet another day for the books.
