~Chapter 13~

|Matt's POV|

I drove Annie home, my hand holding hers all the way there. Finally, we stopped in front of a white house with a flower garden in the front. "Thanks for tonight." I heard her say. I turned to look at her and found a smile on her face and her blue eyes sparkling. "It was amazing."

I smiled and we just looked into each other's eyes for a while before Annie pecked my cheek and slipped her hand out of mine so she could open the car door.

"Bye." Annie waved as she closed the door and started walking up the stairs to her house. My heart pounded and I touched the place where she kissed me. "Wait!" I called to her, and she stopped right before she opened the door.

"Um... Are you free next Saturday?" I asked, and she beamed. "No, because I'll be at the movies with you." She said, and another smile stretched across my face. "Alright, then I'll pick you up at... 6:00?" I asked.

She nodded, making her curly hair bounce, which made my heart skip a beat.

"It's a date." Annie agreed before she disappeared into her house.

Once I was sure she was gone, I fist-pumped the air and shouted; "WOO-HOO!!!"

Then, I started the car and pulled out of the driveway, and was on the road back to my house. It was only a few blocks away, so it didn't take long to get home. I parked the car outside my house and I opened the door.

But once I did, I saw the fort and Poppy ran out and jumped on me with her tail wagging excitedly. "Hey, girl." I said as I scratched her head and she shook herself off. I soon heard snoring coming from the tent and I went over to see Kim curled up against Nash, his arms around her protectively.

I instantly took out my phone and started making a vine. "Kimmy and Nash... Just S'cute." I said, and the vine ended.

I posted it and went upstairs to my room.

|Kimberly's POV|

The next morning, I felt Poppy sit down on me, and I looked up to see her with her front paws on my chest, and she was looking at me with her big eyes and whimpering.

"What's wrong, Pop?" I asked as I sat up and followed her outside the tent. I glanced at the clock, which said 7:00 AM. (If my dog woke me up at this time, I would explode) She scratched the door and sat beside it while looking at me hopefully.

"You wanna go out?" I asked as I went over and unlocked the door, then opened it, and she immediately took off. We fenced in the backyard so she couldn't run away, while she had lots of room to run around and play with her toys.

I kept the door open so she could come in when she was done with her... Business. And I went to get a bagel from the fridge and I stuck it in the toaster.

At the same time, I heard someone coming down the stairs and I turned my head to see Matt. "Hey, sweetie." He said as he kissed the top of my head. "I have something to tell you." Matt said as we sat down.

"You know Annie right?" He asked, and I nodded. "Well, we're dating now, and we'll be gone next Saturday, are you okay with that?" He asked.

I just stared at him, and a smile came to my face. "Will she be my new mom?" I asked, and he chuckled slightly. "If it works out." He said, and I hugged him. "I hope it does." I said. "Yeah, me too." Matt agreed.

Hey guys! I'm sorry that I couldn't update this week, I was at lake George with my whole family :P

Anyways, this chapter was long over due, and I apologize for that.
