Surprise for Kim

Hello! Yes, I am working on another chapter, so yay for that! :3

~Chapter 7~

|Matt's POV|

I was just walking into the house when I hear quiet little snores coming from the couch.

At first, I thought the couch was haunted. Stupid me, because it was only Kim.

She was curled up against the side of the couch with a pillow tucked under her arm. She looked so cute when she was asleep. I carefully picked her up and walked up three flights of stairs before I made it to her room.

I opened her door and gently sent her down in her bed. I kissed her forehead and then left. I decided that we should give something special to her to make her feel more welcome.

I ran downstairs to find all of the other boys standing in the doorway, completely wet.

"Hey guys, I've been thinking... We haven't thrown a welcome home party for Kimberly, so... Mahogany, you get the decorations. Cameron, a cake. Jacob, Ice cream. And Nash and Aaron, you babysit her. The rest of us will clean up and then we need to go get presents for Kim. Agreed?" I ordered.

"Agreed!" Everyone grinned.

Soon, everyone was dressed and either cleaning the house or getting in their cars and driving to the store.

|Mahogany's POV|

I had already gotten the decorations, now I needed to find a present. I was driving around in my car with my sunglasses on, the radio blasting music into my ears and the wind whipping my hair around.

I put the roof down, so there was no point in putting up the windows.

But now... A present.

It had to be something fabulous, something that she would DIE FOR. Okay, not really, but something that she would LOVE.

I stopped at a red light and looked around, then I saw a pet store. I pulled my sunglasses onto the tip of my nose to get a better look and a smile spread across my face. The light flashed green and I stepped on it and drove into the parking lot.

I got out of my car and locked it, then I jogged to the entrance and the automatic doors opened. When I got into the store, I started wondering what animal I should give her.

A kitten would be something cute that she could play with. A hamster would be something that she could pick up, same with a rabbit. Then my eyes landed on the dog that was in the play pen. It was a dalmatian puppy with brown eyes and big paws. It's tail was happily wagging as people walked by it, but they payed no attention to it.

It was perfect. It was more white than black, and one of its ears were completely black. It was a unique looking dog. "Um, excuse me? Ma'am?" I asked a pet store lady. "That dog, is it friendly?" I asked. "Oh yes, she's a sweetheart." The lady said as she bent over to pick up the puppy, which fit perfectly into her arms.

"She's a mixed breed of a husky, Great Dane and golden retriever, she's only a month old but she'll grow quite big, but she doesn't bark, loves children and is off the charts loyal." She said as the dog licked her face, which made her laugh. "She's also a face-licker!" She smiled.

"How much?" I asked."$1,000, but for you, dear, she's only 500."

"Thank you so much." I said as I paid for the dog and signed the adoption papers. "What is her name?" The lady asked. "Oh, well it's a gift for my adopted niece, could I leave that blank so I could let her name it?" I asked.

"Sure." The lady said as she handed everything to me. I clipped a leash on the dog's new green collar and I held the dog food under one arm with the supplies in a bag. There were two bowls, a brush, a bone, treats, toys, and a dog training textbook.

I unlocked my car and dumped everything in the back seats. Then I put the dog in the front seat, who looked out the window curiously as I started up the car. I smiled at her as she wagged her tail happily. Then she sat down and... Did her business all over the car seat.

I sighed and drove out of the parking lot. "Greeeaaat..." I muttered as I drove home.

|Kimberly's POV|

I woke up, once again in the fluffy covers of my bed. My hair smelled like he chlorine from the pool, so I crawled out of bed and went to my bathroom. After my 15 minute shower, I got dressed in a new pair of pajamas and I combed my hair. Then I let it air dry as I hopped down the stairs with the stuffed bunny in my arms, which I named Frankie.

But when I got to he bottom floor, the lights were out and I was immediately freaked out as I hugged Frankie tighter. "Matt? Mahogany? Nash?" I called. Just then, the lights flashed on and everybody jumped out of hiding.

"SURPRISE!!!"

I screamed with fear at first, then my face turned red with embarrassment.

They set up a surprise party... For me! Everywhere I looked, I saw a balloon. There were white, blue and green streamers hanging from the ceiling. A banner that said; Welcome, written on it was stretched across the room, and there was a cake and ice cream on the table.

"Wha-" I start, but Matt walks over to me and picked me up. "Welcome to your official home, Kim!" He smiled. I look at him with a confused face, but then I smile as well and hug him. "Aww..." Everyone cooed.

I blushed again as he put me down and led me over to the party. "Okay, let's open presents first!" JackG said as everyone put presents in front of me.

All except Mahogany. But that didn't matter.

I opened Nash's first. He got me a blue camera with white swirl designs all over it. Hayes got me a big fluffy white pillow, Taylor got me an awesome rainbow cape, Carter got me a stuffed cow, Brent got me a sweatshirt and a hat, JackJ and JackG got me a huge, huge, HUGE teddy bear, one that was bigger than me! Shawn got me a jewelry making kit, Aaron got me a flower crown that he made himself (the softie), Cameron got me some new shoes which all of the boys loved called Vans, and Matt got me an IPhone.

"Thank you all SO much!" I say as I hugged all of my gifts. I felt like a spoiled little girl, but these guys loved me so much!

"Also... I have something for you as well, just give me a moment." Mahogany said as she walked outside. Suddenly, a Dalmatian puppy ran into the house and started sniffing everything, her tail wagging nonstop.

"A puppy!" I squeal as I got her attention and she ran over to me and I picked her up. Then, she started licking my face which made me giggle. Mahogany walked in a moment later with Jacob as they dragged the supplies into the house. Then, they left to help clean Mahogany's car.

"Does she have a name?" I asked, but Mahogany shook her head. "No, I decided to let you choose her name." She said before she walked out the door.

I looked at the puppy in front of me, who looked really happy as she sat down and just stared up at me. "... Matt, could I name her Poppy?" I asked.

"Of course." Matt smiled.

"Yay! Poppy!" I exclaim as I play a short game of tag with her.

She just jumped on me and started licking my face again. "Mahogany, your the best aunt EVER!!!" I say as she walks in the house. Poppy and I ran toward her and I gave her a hug while Poppy jumped on her and stared at her with her big brown eyes.
