Can you do a one shot where there is a new dragon species and Astrid is the first to train it?"Stormfly! Stormfly, come here girl!"
Astrid walked through the dense woods of Berk. Her beloved dragon had not returned to Astrid's hut last night. Astrid had confided in Hiccup, who assured her that Stormfly would be there in the morning; however, Stormfly was nowhere to be found the next morning. Hiccup and Toothless were scouting in the light wood next to the lake.
"Stormfly!" Astrid called with her dragon call.
A squawk sounded in response. Astrid perked at the Deadly Nadder chirp that followed. She sprinted forward, pushing the leafy greens and branches out of her way. Astrid yelped as she slid down a slippery, ruddy slope. She landed, tumbling head over heels until she reached a stop.
Astrid groaned, opening her mouth to call for Hiccup to come pull her out, but one thing stopped her. That dragon's call was oh so familiar, what if, Stormfly was around here. Astrid closed her mouth and set off, through the jungle of vines and branches.
"Okay, I gotta take a break," Astrid muttered to herself.
She sat down, resting against a log. Astrid tilted her head back, dully hitting her head. Suddenly she shot up when another call was made. Astrid started running. She kept going as she kept hearing the calls of a Nadder.
"Stormfly!" Astrid cried.
Suddenly she skidded to a halt. Two massive dragons turned. One a dull terra-cotta brown, the other a pale silver and cyan. They were each about the size of a Submaripper, and each had murderous glares. Their two black horns gleamed in the sunlight and small ears were just below. The brown one growled, lifting his lip in a snarl.
"Easy," Astrid tried to soothe, "I won't hurt you, you just sound like my dragon."
Suddenly Astrid caught glimpse of blue. Stormfly was crouched low, chirping fearfully. Astrid gulped as she realized that she was hearing Stormfly, but she was calling for help.
The terra-cotta one advanced quickly, thrusting it's snout only inches away. Astrid's eyes squeezed shut as he let out a deafening roar. Astrid closed her eyes, waiting for him to finish her, but nothing came. A smack sounded and Astrid opened her eyes to see Stormfly crouched in front, protection in full power.
"Let's go girl," Astrid said gently. She reached up, grabbing hold of the saddle. She heaved herself up, while Stormfly stood up. Astrid stopped. She looked at the blue one for the first time and saw her curled up, licking her stomach.
Astrid scrunched her eyes shut and sighed. Astrid dismounted and patted Stormfly's wing. Astrid crouched down, creeping forward carefully. The brown one snarled and snapped his jaws open and shut. Astrid pulled out some dragon nip and placed it in front of him. He sniffed it, suddenly relaxing and his pupils widened.
"That's right, I'm not going to hurt you," Astrid murmured soothingly.
He blew her bangs and sighed. He laid down submissively.
She crept towards the blue one and saw a running gash along her under arm to the middle of her chest. Astrid gently caressed her head as she inspected the wound.
