Evelynn Brooks POV

It was finally lunch time I made my way to the lift I pressed the 12th button as soon as the doors close I start counting the numbers when the doors open on the 45th floor the same lady from this morning steps in "so you are also going to the cafeteria" she said bitchy looking at me like I'm growing two heads when the lift opens on the 35th floor Gabby steps in "hey girl" she said hugging me then looks at the other lady "hi Violet Hobbs" Gabby to her rude "Gabriella" she said looking disgusted at each other then the door opened again

It was on the 23th floor there was Mr. McKnight he stepped in and pressed the ground button "Eve do you still draw" Gabby asked me curious I knew she would ask me about it someday "nope I stopped" I said annoyed I draw really bad "why" she asked me looking like she was in a museum looking at a painting "because it is really bad and I didn't like it anymore" I said bored her facial expression changed and she hit me on my arm "stop that no one ever dared to say it to your face because you would stop but you can really draw" she said looking at the numbers

The doors opened on the 12th floor we both stepped out with Violet on our heels we walked to the café in the building and ordered a coffee and a sandwich with salmon when we were done we paid and sat down on the table "I have something to tell you" I said nervous looking at my cup of coffee the cafeteria was full of people talking and laughing "so" she said curious "well I need to go to Guinea next week and I know what you said about that country but I need to" I said looking in her concerned eyes she nodded in understanding

"hey ladies can I sit with you" a muscular guy said charming but I wanted to say no but "yes come" Gabby said cheerful sighing that he could sit next to her "hi I'm Jasper Howells" he said smiling great I don't like him "I'm Gabriella turner but call me Gabby" Gabby said cheerful smiling "and you young lady" he asked me with his charming smile but I'm immune for that "I'm Evelynn Brooks" I said bored and dryly

"Jasper" a lady said sitting next to me "hey little sis" he said with his smile again "this is Gabby and this is Evelynn" he introduced us to her "hi I'm Lyla Howells" she said smiling I like her she is nice "so which position are you working" I asked her curious "I work as a secretary for the manager on floor 67 and you" she asked me I looked at my sandwich "I work as the personal assistant for Mr. McKnight" I said nervous looking up at her she was shocked "that you can handle him from what I heard he is rude arrogant and the last one said she was forced to have sex with him" she said rushing the words without even breathing

"oh I didn't know that I hope he doesn't do that to me" I said horrified taking a bite form my sandwich now I'm getting scared of what is coming "well I hope you will not go somewhere alone with him" she said sipping her drink I'm going with him to Africa "I'm going to Africa next week with him" I said looking if he was somewhere phew he is not here "what he will do it with you there" she said looking worried "uhm I'm going back to work now" I said stuttering and stood up rushing to the lift

I waited for the doors to open and there he was in the lift leaning against the wall I got in I was feeling now even worse than before it was getting harder to breath "is everything okay" he asked me worried I can't breath properly there were tears coming in my eyes "is there something wrong" he asked stepping closer I backed away until I felt the doors of the lift I grabbed a key and turned of the motor of the lift "what is wrong" he asked me as concerned as my brother usually does "someone told me about your previous assistant that you forced her in bed" I said with a trembling voice he grabbed my shoulder

"I never did that don't tell me Lyla Howells told you" he said frustrated looking in my eyes I nodded my head he let me go groans in frustration "she lied because she wanted the job too but I refused her so she told something horrible about me that does she every time" he said walking back to me "why would I do that to anybody" he said calming himself down then turned on the motor

Matthew McKnight POV

When the lift doors opened miss Brooks got out walking to her cabin she really looked scared of those false accusations who does that bitch think she is I will destroy her I called the manger of her floor "mister McKnight what can I do for you" he asked me nervous "listen mister Malone tell Miss Howells to come to my office" I said keeping my out burst in "yes sir she will be there as soon as she is back" he said calm "good" I said hanging up I grab my laptop

Finally someone answers my emails properly so now I only need to wait for Miss Howells I waited more than 10 minutes now I hope she comes soon I need to talk to Miss Brooks I need to clear up that I never did anything like that I was cut off my thoughts by a knock "come in" I said calm holding my anger in to see it was Miss Brooks what is she doing here "sir it is more than 30 minutes ago you send the email I looked at the clock she is right "put the file down and read file B89 and then come back in an hour with coffee" I said strict to her I need to keep her out of here until Miss Howells was here she nodded and turned around to see miss Howells has arrived

Miss Brooks walked out in how she was holding her shirt she was still scared of me "sir you wanted to see me" she said proud but before I could answer "are you going to fire her and hire me for the job" she said smiling like I would ever want a gold digger as my assistant "no not at all you made her scared of me and that is terrible because my best friend is her brother if he gets to know your lie he would kill me so I'm going to punish you" I said furious but in a deadly voice

I saw her getting pale "punish me like having sex" she asked smiling what is this woman thinking that I would fuck her not even if she is the last woman on earth "no Miss Howells your fired" I said angry she looked now furious "you should keep an eye on her there might happen something to her I will kill her" she said furious standing up "oh and one last thing you won't get a job better than a supermarket" I said smirking "now get out of my building" I barked at her she walked angry out of my office

After 45 minutes I heard a knock "come in" I said still angry at what happened I didn't look up shit I forgot to call mister Malone to find someone new for the job I heard the door slam against the wall "how dare you fire my sister for nothing" Mr. Howells said slamming his hands on my desk "she is nothing fired for nothing she told a lie to Miss Brooks about me and that is something I don't tolerate and if it was real I would have a angry brother of her standing here even if he is my best friend so if you want to get fired continue with this or get out and get to work" I shouted in anger he stood there he was about to hit me "what is going on here" Miss Brooks said scared Mr. Howells turned his head towards her

He grabbed her wrist dragging her towards the desk "your boss here is going to fuck you hard then throw you out of the company" he said convincing but before I could say anything "let me go" she yelped in pain he was holding her really tight "let her go or I will make sure you both are nothing anymore" I threatened him he smirked at me "not going to happen" he said dragging her to the door of my office I walk up to them punch him in his stomach he let her go "go to your cabin I will come when I'm done" I said strict she nodded and walked away

"your fired and you are only a supermarket job getting higher than that is not possible not get out of my building" I barked at him he walked to the lift I turned around walking to Miss Brooks her cabin I knocked on the door "come in" she said with a crack in her voice I opened the door to see how frightened she looked I screwed up her brother will notice it "please don't come close" she said with a trembling voice "I would never hurt you I never touched my employees that way never I'm not that type of a guy" I said but at the look on her face it will take sometime to get over what happened
