chapter 25

*three months later*

Matthew McKnight POV

The week goes fast if you have someone with you all day. Me and Lynn are pretty close to each other and I'm planning to take her to Paris tomorrow but she doesn't know it yet. Everything is packed and I have a surprise for her, in the hope she likes it.

flashback

I can remember this like it was yesterday but in reality it was six weeks back. We were in this fight because she was a little late back from going out with her friends and I was worrying sick and she was drunk. After I had brought her to bed, she didn't let me go and the next morning she was gone.

I found her down stairs, talking to a guy on the phone and I got mad at her. She told me he was just a guy she met in a club and at that moment, I got furious. She went to a club. We began to yell at each other and a some point she blurred something at me.

"there is only one guy in my life and I LOVE HIM!!!!" she yelled at me.

I was mad at her because she confessed that she loved someone and my heart was telling me, that is wasn't me.

"and who is that!!"

I was waiting for the name of this guy, she loves but what came out of her mouth shocked me.

"it's you!!" she yelled at me.

I was shocked and extremely happy, that she loves me and what came out of my mouth shocked her.

"I love you too."

She got closer and hugged me tight like she was going to lose me. My hand lifted her chin up and kissed her soft and slow.

End of flashback.

I heard a knock on my door. That brought me back to reality, without even saying 'come in' the door was slammed open. The person that I was hoping for wasn't in the doorway but is was my ex-fiancée Gracie Valentina. Walking up to me.

She puts her hands on my shoulders and began to massage my shoulders. I jerk her hands away before Evelynn finds me here with this maniac. I heard someone clear her throat, I looked at the doorway and saw Evelynn standing there with her arms crossed over her chest. she was sending daggers to Gracie.

"what do you want? He is my Fiancée!" Gracie spat at her.

"I'm not your fiancée, you left me for that boss of yours."

"I made a mistake, your way more important to me." Gracie said with a sad face.

Stop with your fake faces, it makes me feel disgusted and I love someone better.

"how did you even get in?"

"easy, I flirted with them." Gracie said batting her fake eyelashes.

"and I showed them some breasts." Gracie said with a smirk.

I looked at Evelynn with 'help me' eyes and she noticed my plead. She walked up to me on the other side of the desk. She bend to me nd kissed me on my lips. I heard Gracie growl in frustration but I didn't care I just needed her kiss.

As we pull apart, I see Evelynn's eyes are glowing of love with her smile that lights up my mood in seconds. I grab her hand and turn to Gracie.

"we need to go, I have next week a meeting and we need to leave. Goodbye Gracie."
