Your P.O.V.

After shopping with Pepper and Nat, the rest of the day was pretty relaxed. I spent a few hours playing video games with Bucky and Clint, which was totally AWESOME. They're both really cool. Clint promised to teach me how to shoot a bow and arrow, and Bucky wanted to teach me self defense, which could be very useful now that I'm the daughter of the most famous man in the world.

"Hey y/n." A masculine voice snapped me out of my trance. I turned around and was surprised to see Tony.

"Hey?" I was still unsure how to act around him.

"Pepper told me to ask you if you are interested in helping me down in the lab for a while." He looked at me and his eyes begged me to say no.

I smiled cheerfully and replied, "Sure." I hopped down off my chair and waited to follow him down the stairs. He grudgingly turned and walked down to the lab. When we got to the door he made me turn around and close my eyes so I wouldn't see the code he put in to open the door.

Cool air hit my face as I walked in and spun in a slow circle, trying to take everything in. "Woah! This is so cool!" I saw Tony try to hide the smile creeping over his face at my utter awe of his stuff. I rushed over to the table he was now seated at. "So, what're we working on today?" I asked hopefully.

Tony looked up at me absentmindedly. "Oh...uh...I need you to take this," he handed me a piece of paper and a couple razor sharp pencils, "And make up some blueprints for a new piece of tech I should build." I rolled my eyes, knowing he wouldn't actually even look at them, but I complied anyway. I figured it was better than just sitting there. I started sketching a rough outline. It was a shape similar to a person. I didn't even think about what I was doing until I realized I was drawing an Iron Man suit. It was similar to Tony's suits but smaller. I knew what I was going to draw. I kept drawing, making the suit slightly more feminine and adding cool features like guns and lasers all over. I grabbed a second piece of paper and started writing up more complex blueprints with internal workings and functional parts. I didn't realize how excited I was until I looked up to see Tony staring at me. "What?" I cocked my head questioningly. He shook his head and went back to whatever he was working on. I shrugged and kept writing/drawing. I was determined to actually make a suit for myself now that I had the plans.

After I finished, I sat and watched Tony for a while. He finally sighed and looked up at me.

"What do you want?"

I raised an eyebrow and said, "Wasn't the whole purpose of this for us to bond or something?"

He rolled his eyes. "Yeah, but its not like I'm gonna let you help me fix my suit."

"Why not? I'm perfectly capable of helping you."

"Really? I doubt that, so I'm not going to let some kid I've only known for a few days anywhere near my suits!" There was the arrogant jerk in him.

I snorted indignantly. "Some kid! I'm your daughter for crying out loud! It's your fault I'm here in the first place! If you hadn't gone and stolen my moms heart, only to break it, I might add, I wouldn't even be alive and you wouldn't have to deal with me!" At some point we had started yelling.

"Well I guess I should've left your mother sooner and maybe I wouldn't have made this mistake!" He pointed at me as he said mistake.

I turned and fled up the stairs, scattering papers on the desk with my abrupt movement. I ran until I bumped into someone coming around the corner. Nat looked at me with surprise and question, but I pushed around her and kept running, hoping she hadn't seen the tears threatening to fall down my face. I didn't stop until I got to my room and slammed the door shut.

I crashed onto my bed and buried my face in my pillow. I couldn't hold the tears back any more and they streamed down my face as I sobbed into my pillow.

'What did I do to deserve this?' I thought. 'All I wanted was a dad who cares about me. Why did I get a rich selfish snob who only cares about himself?' I hadn't realized until then how much I missed mom.

I heard the door creak open and looked up, my face still partly hidden by the pillow in an attempt to hide the tears. Nat walked in and sat next to me on my bed. She gently put her arms around me in comfort and rubbed my back . "What's wrong?" Her soft voice only made me cry harder. "He...I...'sniff'...he thinks...I'm a mis...'sniff'...a mistake..." I managed to get out between sobs. "He...doesn't care...'sniff'...about...mmm....me" Nat squeezed me tighter as I continued to sob. I looked up and saw the anger blazing in her eyes. "That useless piece of dog meat doesn't deserve you." Her expression was a mix of concern and rage. "Do you want anything before I go give the arrogant d-bag a piece of my mind?"

"I want to see Peter," I sniffed. Nat smiled to herself and said, "Ok. You want me to bring him here?" I couldn't keep talking without risk of breaking down in tears so I nodded my head.

Nat stood up and squeezed my hand one more time before exiting my room. I sat on my bed waiting with my arms pulling my legs up to my chest and my chin resting on my knees.  I don't know how long I stayed like that but I didn't move until I heard the door open.

Peter walked in and sat by me, just like Nat had done a few minutes ago. "Natasha told me what happened." He said as I buried my face in his shoulder. "She got Jarvis show me the footage. I wanted to give him a piece of my mind but Nat said she had already taken care of that." I looked up into his beautiful brown eyes and immediately felt better. He was one of the only people left of my previous life when I was a normal kid whose biggest concern was school. Peter and I had been friends since we were toddlers. Mom and Aunt May were really close friends so they would trade kids. One day mom would have me and Peter and another day Aunt May would take care of us both. Since neither of us had siblings it worked great and we've never needed many people other than each other.

"Do you want to go outside?" I realized I had been staring at him. "If I were you I would want to get as far away from here as I could." I nodded and we both stood up.

"Lets go to the usual spot," I said. Peter agreed and without another word, we headed out of the tower. We walked at a brisk pace through the now dark New York streets to an old brick office building. I started climbing the fire escape with Peter close behind. When we got to the top, we moved to the edge of the roof and let our feet hang. I shivered at how much colder the air was up here. Peter smiled at me wordlessly before pulling his hoodie over his head and handing it to me. After I put it on I smiled thankfully at him and he put his arm around my shoulder, pulling me to his side. I rested my head on his shoulder and we sat, staring into the starry sky, in silence. This was what I needed. Peter. He was familiar. He made me feel special and important. He made me feel loved.

I barely felt myself being lifted by a pair of strong arms as my eyes closed and sleep began to claim me. I felt something soft brush my forehead right before I drifted into unconsciousness.

So I really wanted a chapter with Peter in it, but I also wanted conflict, so this happened :) As I said before, I will try to get another chapter published soon, but I don't know how long it will take, so thank you for being patient with me. I really appreciate your support.

Love you all!!
