Your POV.
I was exhausted. After Sam and I got back to the tower I crashed on the couch fell asleep. I didn't know for sure what woke me up, but when I peeked out from under my eyelashes I saw two faces hovering over me. I jerked back in surprise. Bucky and Clint were standing above me, staring at me.
"How long have you been here?" I asked incredulously. Clint looked at Bucky before answering, "Probably about 15 minutes?"
"15 minutes! Oh, that's not creepy at all," I rolled my eyes and they chuckled at my sarcastic response. "We just didn't want to wake you up since you looked so peaceful." It was one of the first times I had heard Bucky speak. "We're gonna play some video games if you want to join us." Clint left the invitation open but I felt like he knew I couldn't resist the implied challenge. I nodded and they both walked around the couch to sit down.
"What are we going to play?" I asked as Clint grabbed 3 controllers and handed one to me and one to Bucky. "I though we'd go for some good old fashioned Mario Kart." He replied with a smirk. I laughed when I saw the challenge in his eyes. "Just be warned, I always win at Mario Kart." Clint rolled his eyes and said, "That may be true but you've never played against me."
We started up the game and chose our characters and cars. I chose to use Baby Luigi riding the Magikruiser, with which I managed to succeed every time. Clint, oddly enough, picked Toadette and the Quacker. Bucky chose to be Bowser and drive Phantom. We decided to go ahead and dive right in by racing Rainbow Road. It was a vicious cycle with all three of us way ahead of everyone else, but unable to lose each other. Bucky and I managed to shove Clint over the side of the road, but we were still neck to neck. Bucky pulled ahead for a minute but I passed him up at the last second. I thought I had won and was about to start celebrating until, at the last possible second, Bucky pulled ahead of me. He beat me by a millisecond.
"Wow...Well this is new." I didn't know how to respond to being beaten so I just kind of stared at him for a while. He smirked at me. "Ya know, they didn't have these things back in the 1940's." He started to speak but I cut him off. "Not you too. I thought Steve was the only one with boring stories about 'back in my day we only had blah blah blah'." I said the last part in a fake old person voice, trying to imitate Steve and Bucky. Clint doubled over laughing while Bucky put his hand over his heart and tried to look offended. "I'm sorry. I didn't realize people had no respect for their elders nowadays." I laughed and murmured, "oh you're my elder alright." When Clint heard me he was laughing so hard he fell off the couch. Bucky appeared very taken aback by my level of sass and was about to say something stupid when Steve walked into the room.
"What's going on in here?" He asked with a half frown, half smile. Bucky turned to him pitifully and pointed at me. "This child is making fun of our age." He turned to me and continued, "I mean you're what, 12?" I put my hand to my mouth in fake shock. "How dare you!? I'll have you know I am 15 years old and I'll be 16 by the end of the year." By this point Steve had no idea what was going on and Clint was still rolling around on the floor. "You two are incorrigible." Steve hung his head and chuckled as he rolled his eyes.
The four of us stayed there for almost two hours talking, laughing, and sharing stories. I felt so lucky to have these awesome people in my life. Eventually I got really hungry and, unable to ignore my stomach anymore, I got up and took my leave, but not before I got promises from Clint and Bucky to not only teach me self-defense, but also to play more video games, and Steve said maybe sometime he'd have to take me for a ride on his motorcycle. I thanked them all in turn and, with a jesting little bow, left and headed to the kitchen.

Tony POV.
I heard a noise and looked up from my seat at the kitchen table. I saw y/n walk in and set my mug of coffee down. "Y/n, I want to apologize for earlier. I was a little harsh." I hesitated, not knowing what to say. I could see y/n didn't know what to do either. "I forgive you," she sighed. "I just wanted to get to know you better... I've never had a dad before." She looked down and shrugged. I tried to think of something else to talk about but failed. "You know... I never had much of a dad either. Howard didn't care much about me and he died when I was young. Both my parents were killed when I was 21." I didn't know why I was telling her that but it made me feel connected to her somehow. When I looked up y/n's eyes were clouded over with tears threatening to spill. "I miss my mom." Y/n barely managed to choke out those four words but I completely understood how she felt. No matter how badly my dad treated me Mom was always there. When she was killed I could barely live with myself. I still miss her. I walked to y/n and put my arms around her. I rested my chin on her head and rubbed her back gently as she cried into my shoulder. "I know...I miss her too. I never should have left her..." I was torn. I loved Pepper so much but if I had stayed with Lucy I could have been there for y/n when she needed me most. From that moment on I knew all I wanted was to be the father for y/n that Howard never was for me.
