Chapter 1

Hi, I'm Maya hart. I'm a famous YouTuber and so is my roommate Riley. She has been my best friend since we were five. We moved to California about a year ago but right now I and Riley are waiting for her friend to make some collab videos. She won't tell me who it is and she also said I personally don't know him. The doorbell rings while I set up Riley's camera. "Riley can you get the door." I hear the door open and I hear the two talking. He and Riley walk in and it's Lucas from Livinglucas Riley was right I didn't personally know him but I loved his videos. "Hi Lucas I'm Maya I love your videos." "Hi Maya I'm a fan of yours as well," I go back to setting up the camera. "Lucas can you stand in front of the camera I need to test the focus expulsion." He stands in front of the camera and he is properly beautiful. I smile while fixing the camera. I lift my head from behind the camera "okay I'm done. So what video are we doing Riley." "We're doing weird good combinations." I roll my eyes as I sit down at the table in front of the camera. Riley is trying to ruin food for me.

Riley pulls out the first plate and it's sardines and cheese. I shake my head no while saying "I'm not eating this." Lucas nudges my arm and says "come on what if I eat it first." "Fine." Lucas eats it and makes a weird face so does Riley. Riley says "come on Maya." I sit there hesitating whether or not to put it in mouth but Lucas does it for me. He then holds his hand over my mouth and says "Chew. If I have to do it so do you." Once Lucas moves his hand I spit up on the floor and it gets in my hair. Lucas and Riley sit there stunned while I stand up straight and walk out of the room. That was fucking embarrassing. I go up to my room and I take a shower. I go back downstairs with my hair dripping wet and in an over-sized t-shirt and shorts. I see Lucas and I'm shocked. "Wow cowboy I thought you would have left by now." He just smiles and says "We need to finish both of our videos." I look him in the eyes while saying "I thought you were have been disgusted by earlier and left already." He chuckles under his breath and says "It takes way more than that to make me run."

We all sit in front of the camera and Lucas says "so before I came here I did a little digging on these two. But mostly on you." He pats the top of my head and I get worried. "I found out that Maya has a phobia of spiders and Riley has a phobia of the dark. So today we are going to face our phobias. Who wants to go first." We both look at Lucas like he's crazy. He says "well then I guess We will do Rock Paper Scissors. And of course, I lose. Lucas says "lay on the ground. I'm going to blindfold you." I lay down and I say to Lucas "if you take this Blindfold off and I see a spider I'm going to choke you." Lucas just smiles and covers my eyes with the blindfold. I feel something being placed on me and I freak out. "Before I take this off i must tell you that if you make any sudden movements Rex might attack. Are you ready to take the blindfold off?" "You fucking named a spider." I shake my head no yet they still do it. I look down and I see the terantula on my stomach. I look at the ceiling and I start to cry. Lucas starts to laugh and says "oh my god are you crying? I never knew Maya hart cried." They take the spider off of me and I lunge at Lucas and i choke him. Turns out Riley got it all on camera. The camera cuts to us back at the table.

There is an awkward silence "So.. Lucas made me cry." I say I look straight at the lenses. "stop looking straight at the lens that's weird." He says while covering my eyes. I slap Lucas's hand off of me and say "I'm still mad at you." "oh come on Maya it wasn't that bad." I roll my eyes. I speak up and suggest that Lucas goes next.

I speak to the camera while saying "we are going to put Lucas in this freezer and he just has to stay in there for a minute without freaking out."

He gets into the freezer and I sit on top of it. After the alarm goes off Lucas burst out of the freezer and I fall back onto the ground. I look at Lucas and laugh he is drenched in sweat and nearly having a panic attack. Riley starts laughing with me and I walk over to him and say "that wasn't so bad." While patting him on the shoulder. He looks at me infuriated and shrugs my hand off of his shoulder.

We're back at the table and it's even more quiet than the first time. Me and Riley break out in laughter while Lucas sits there. I tickle Lucas and he just smiles. "I'm not ticklish Maya." Lucas then starts to tickle me and I burst into a fit of giggles. Once he stops our faces are about three inches away. We both smile and stare and each other for a few seconds. Riley then clears her throat.  We break eye contacts and laugh off the awkwardness. 

We lock Riley in the closet with the lights off and she comes out like she saw a ghost and says "I'm never doing a collab with Lucas again." I just laugh. "Okay Maya so can we do your video tomorrow. I have plans in like thirty minutes." "But Riley I have to have to upload in three days." Lucas wraps his arm around my shoulder and says "I'll help you M." Riley smiles and says "See Lucas will help you." I fake a smile. "Come on Lucas. Let's go for lunch. Then thrifting. Those always make my vlogs get more views."

I start to vlog in the car while we listening to Lucas's playlist that is the only country. "Do you listen to anything else other than a country cowboy?" He nods and plays a different playlist which has some bops. "Oh my god this playlist is amazing." I take a sip of my drink and I offer Lucas some and he finishes it. "Dude what the hell that was mine and I said some." "It's fine Maya we are five minutes away from the cafe." I just roll my eyes and I focus on the road.

We get to the cafe and Lucas starts talking about the gif he shows me and I start crying of laughter and Lucas is recording me. It's the ugliest video I've ever seen of myself. I laugh ever harder and Lucas says "Maya it's only a jack and Jill gif. What is wrong with you?"

We go to a local thrift store. me and Lucas start looking for clothes. I notice an outfit Lucas picks up and it looks incredible. I take it out of his hands and I say "I'm just going to take that." Surprisingly he lets me. Me and Riley probably would have started arguing.

We drive back to my place and Lucas says "did you get enough content?" I shake my head no while saying "we have to do a photo shoot."

We finish the photo shoot and I immediately upload to my Instagram since I have been lacking lately.

We arrive at my place and I hug Lucas bye. "I had fun today Maya." "Me too." We exchange numbers and I go inside my house. I start to edit my video until I get a notification that says I'm tagged in something.

@mayahart_ called me a cowboy and brought me to the city
